Istick 50W vs Arctic tank

So i upgraded this morning to a Arctic tank .2ohm from an atlantis .5ohm , using an IStick 50W. Don't do it, after about I'd say 2 hours, the IStick started flipping out. Shutting off for no reason, reading way off the ohmage, saying there was no atomizer. From what i can gather, being an IT guy, is that the .2, which is the bottom line for the IStick, is not really what it can handle. I will switch back to the .5 atlantis and see what happens the rest of the day, and report back. This is more about the box then the tank. I did notice that the base of the arctic was getting pretty hot, i was running about 30 to 35 watts.

Probably a faulty coil, I run .2 coils on my istick 50 watt all the time. Had the same thing happen with the arctic, swapped coils, and no more problems.

I've had to send 2 Isticks back because they shut off on me and get janky at higher wattage. Switched to a Sigele and have no problems at all!

I've also been running the istick 50w with .2 coil arctic tank and haven't had that happen yet.

working fine, if i keep the watts low, 25 to 30.
I work in a B&M, I sell Artics with 50w isticks all day long, they go great together, however I have had a couple people come in with coil issues, the artic coils tend to come loose when taking the tank apart for filling, just double check the coil when filling the tank and make sure it's tight, that coil wants a minimum of 30 watts!!

You were tripping the thermal protection circuit. This happened to me with a .2 Dripper build. The iStick 50 can handle a .2, but not chain vaping, my .02 anyway.
