I just saw this on my local news, but the fact that the cause was a spare battery wasn't mentioned.

Here, in KY, the news people said it was a battery.

I live in NH, the local station showed the video but never said it was a spare battery carried loose in his pocket. I had to google to get the facts. People are not getting the whole story, and vaping is getting a bad rap.

I can't agree more!! I watched the video a couple times and noticed the guy putting change into his pocket. Immediately knew what happened. I mean I'm glad the guy is "relatively" ok, yes he's hurt badly, but it could most certainly have been avoided. AND it could have been reported properly on top of that.
