For a series that's only six episodes in, iZombie has itself figured out. The show's settled into a stride that supernatural, gore, comedy, and action to just the right consistency. And to change it up, they're pouring in more romance. Whether it's addressing the less glamorous aspects of being a zombie or testing the waters between Liv and Lowell, iZombie steps forward with confidence. It all feels... natural.
This week's case gave Rose McIver the challenge of becoming a talented computer hacker and an agoraphobic. Not surprisingly, McIver picked it up with ease. She settled into the chair like she was a lifelong gamer and embraced Simon Cutler's abrasiveness nature and bossiness. She's a pro, and Liv benefits from it. Without McIver's range, Liv -- and the show -- would fall flat.
