Captain Jack Sparrow may finally be drunkenly sailing into the sunset, as it appears Johnny Depp's time as the iconic pirate has reportedly come to an end.
Speaking to DailyMailTV, original Pirates of the Caribbean screenwriter Stuart Beattie spoke about Depp's departure from a character he's played for over 15 years.
Beattie was "nodding when it was suggested Depp was out," and then the screenwriter said, "I think he's had a great run. Obviously, he's made that character his own and it's become the character he's most famous for now."
