Joseph Gordon-Levitt's series, HitRecord on TV, returns for Season 2 this Friday on Pivot. Branching off of Gordon-Levitt's website, HitRecord is a very modern take on a variety series, featuring collaborative pieces that incorporate contributions from around the world - say a script from one person added to by animation from others and music and recorded dialogue from others. Gordon-Levitt hosts the show and also appears in many of the pieces as an actor and performer.
I recently sat down with Gordon-Levitt to chat about HitRecord on TV and why he finds the series so creatively liberating.
