Joyetech VTC mini popping out of Ni Temp mode to Power

Hello,

I have a dual 13 wrap nickel build in a billow v2 which I use in Temp mode. It vapes great but sometimes it starts great, then nothing. I check again and it is sitting at 20w in power mode. Is there some sort of a protection thing happening or is there a bug with the device?

When I try to switch back to the Ni mode from power mode,

1. click fire 3 times, wait for it to flash power.
2. then scroll right to NI mode.

as soon as i press fire to confirm the NI mode setting, it goes back to power mode again. It does this until I pull the battery out and put it back in.

I would vape happily until it does the same thing again, all of a sudden it is in power mode as I am using it.

I have firmware 3.0

This is the first post I've seen mentioning a bug with the device. The ONLY time mine switched from TC to Power was because I had a tank with a kanthal build in it. I'm sorry I don't have a solution for you, just wanted to mention that, plus it's subscribing me, should I run into an issue. :/

I hope someone can chime in with an answer for you.

See what happens when you change the tank/coil to a prebuilt coil.
Maybe update the device or reinstall the same software version.

The VTC, and the Cuboid will both switch back to power if they sense a non TC coil. My first guess is something off in the coil the device is detecting.
