Jumanji 3 reportedly will be more connected to the original film starring Robin Williams.
Speaking to SlashFilm, director Jake Kasdan (Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle) confirmed the third film in the franchise will somehow have a closer connection to the first movie than Welcome to the Jungle did. Kasdan's plan is to keep the entire series connected and maintain the continuity between all three films.
“Our hope is to keep a long continuity through the whole thing, even though the story that we’re telling in the second movie, the movie that we’re working on right now is much more connected to the first movie that I made a year ago than it is to the original,” Kasdan said.
