Jurassic World: Dominion, director Colin Trevorrow's third instalment in the Jurassic franchise, showed off some behind-closed-doors footage at CinemaCon this week and it sounds like the film's going to throw us into total chaos, as protagonists new and old try to solve the problem of dinosaurs entering human civilization.

Per Comicbook.com, the behind-closed-doors footage from Jurassic Park: Dominion shown to attendees during a panel at CinemaCon gives a good indication of what can be expected from the film upon its release next year.

Trevorrow reportedly told attendees at the panel that the film looks to answer the question, "If dinosaurs lived amongst us, would you be safe?" before concluding that the answer to this was, obviously, no. The footage then shown at the panel seemed to back up the director's comments in style. As per the report, clips were shown to the panel that included a mosasaur emerging from the ocean to eat an entire helicopter, a T-Rex rampant in a city, and a raptor running across a building top – some of which paired modern CG with practical effects.

Jurassic World: Dominion is set to merge together the casts of Jurassic World and its predecessor Jurassic Park. Cast members from the original Jurassic Park including Laura Dern as Dr. Ellie Sattler, Sam Neill as Alan Grant, and Jeff Goldblum as Ian Malcolm will return to the franchise alongside Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard. The footage from the panel is said to have included "many instances" of the two casts interacting across the film and even contained a clip where Sam Neill and the entire cast come face-to-face with a T-Rex in the woods.

In January, IGN reported that Jurassic World: Dominion saying that it would be a conclusion to all five previous movies. The film itself spent an unprecedented length of time in production due to delays caused by the pandemic. Filming for Jurassic World: Dominion finally concluded at Pinewood Studios in November - 18 months after it originally began in pre-production. Whilst little footage has emerged before the public as of yet, a very brief teaser trailer for the film can be seen below. Jurassic World: Dominion is set to debut in theatres on June 10, 2022.
