Blueberry (FA)
Lemon Sicily (FA)
Mango (FA)
Peach (FA)
Pear (FA)
Pineapple (FA)
Pomegranate (FA)
Vanilla Tahity (FA)

Does anyone have any great recipes for what I can make with any of these flavors? I was thinking Blueberry Lemonade and my wife love Peach and Mango. What are your thoughts?

I think the peach and pear would be a nice combo, with just a hint of the lemon to give it some zip.

Use the lemon sparingly. I think I am using TFA (The Flavor Apprentice.) I would start with a drop or two in 3ml of base and test from there. I use lemon as an under note, not a predominate flavor.. Just an enhancer so testing is really required..

Lemon Sicily is really good!! You can go as high as 4% with that one. Excellent flavor choices. Keep the Bilberry lowerrrrrr.

2%Vanilla Tahity
1% Pineapple
0.5% Pear

I have no idea if that will be good, or not, but sounded good :)

for your wife (who shares my love for peach and mango), I would try:

3% peach
0.5% mango
0.5% apple pie
1% custard
0.5% - 1% vanilla tahity

I haven't tried this exact thing, but I've been spending time with these flavors lately and have an idea it will be good.

Great choices - from that list, I've mixed and liked:

2% Bilberry
3% Pomegranate
2% Lemon Sicily

It appears I like things stronger than other FA users, so you might want to halve that recipe to start. No other combos I'm thinking of come to mind immediately, but there have to be dozens...I use Bilberry, Pomegranate, Lemon Sicily, Vanilla Tahity, and Pear with some frequency - the first three have a place in just about any fruity mix I do.

3% FA Strawberry
1% FA Bilberry (blueberry)
2% Vanilla Tahiti

I normally use 2% Van Tahiti and 2% Van Classic.
Let it steep for at least 4 days for the strawberry and vanilla (s) to meld and come together.

Got the recipe from the web somewhere. Don't know the author.

I make this every time I run out of it. After it steeps for a few days the vanillas meld in to a sweet, delicious vanilla. The blueberry is in the back ground on the inhale but more on the exhale. It is nice. I love FA bilberry. The strawberry is the reason for the steep. It takes a few days for it to come out to its best. The actual name of the recipe is Vanilla Berry. That is a great name as it describes the flavor perfectly to me.

Give it a go. Don't be afraid to go a little more on the percentages if it seems a little weak. I probably use more than the recipe but I like stronger flavors. I almost always increase Hic's percentages in all of his recipes but you have to increase across the board the same for all flavorings or the ratio will be thrown off and change the end result.

It took me a while to get the hang DIY but now I can just throw something together and it will be vapeable, It did take me a while, a lot of reading and getting talked to by DIY pros on here.

Have fun.

Without the help of the pros here, I would be lost! I actually feel pretty confident that I'll be able to vape my blends lol. I hope atleast...

Needles I understand, but whatcha need the pins for? Ha ha. Ha.;)
Made my first mix today and it tasted like straight up doo doo!

5% bilberry (FA)
1.5% lemon sicily (FA)
.5% vanilla tahity (FA)

Back to the drawing board. This is going to be fun, though!

I honestly barely taste anything so I'll try added more flavor to it.

Zoiks! I think you may have killed it on the bilberry - maybe try it again at 3%, and bump the vanilla to 1%?

Too much bilberry. Cut it to 1% or 1.5% and increase Vanilla Tahiti to 2%. Put the bottle in some hot water for an hour once it is made to speed the steep some and shake the crap out of it a few time during the time. High vg takes longer to meld.

EDIT: if you remember the vanilla berry recipe I gave you, it has 1% bilberry and you can taste it at that level. If you use too much FA flavoring it will mute the flavor. Doesn't make since I know, but true. I did the same thing. Bilberry is strong.

Thanks for the help! Glad you said that about the FA flavoring cause I was going to through more in it haha. I'll knock it down a bit and give that a shot. When I get home here is a while I'll be playing around with more mixes and just practicing to get better.

You also have to decide if you want a blueberry lemon or a lemon blueberry. That will change your ratio. For example blueberry lemon could be 1.5% bilberry and 1% lemon Silicy or lemon blueberry could be 2% lemon Sicily and 0.5% bilberry.

These are only examples but this is what I do when I am inventing something.

Yeah, I've done ALOT of research on DIY but when the flavors came in today I couldn't help but be over zealous with the flavors lol. I can't wait to get at it again though!

I mixed a 70/30 VG/PG ration but it seems really thin? Even spitting juice into my mouth. Should I make it more VG?

That shouldn't be that thin. Are you sure you didn't make 70/30 pg/vg? Spitting can be caused by several things. I have used 70/30 pg/vg I made with no spitting. It could be a coil short, the coil too high, maybe it is not wicking properly. I would look at the wick and coil spacing/height.

Remember, this needs like 4 days to shine due to the strawberry. FA strawberry is not a shake and vape.

Hic's caramel eggnog is shake and vape and one of my favorites. It only uses Vienna cream and caramel. I make it stronger than the recipe and use drops. I use 8 drops Vienna cream and 4 drops caramel for 5 mls. This is for my tastes.

Not it's a 70/30 vg/pg ration but I also broke a cardinal rule and didn't put a new coil in. I think this is just a bad coil and needs replacing.

Okay, second try at mixing. I went a different direction with this one:

Peach (FA) 3%
Mango (FA) 3%
Pineapple (FA) 4.5%

From what I can tel it's a shake & vape but may get better after a few days of steeping. So far it is delicious! Peach and Pineapple on the inhale and mango on the exhale. Can't wait to see what the steeped mix tastes like!

I would be willing to bet you won't taste much in two days as the pineapple will gain strength. Look at some of Hic's recipes and read his "notes on" different FA flavors. That will give you some idea where to start.

Good suggestions. I usually start testing at 2% when I'm not familiar with a flavor.

So I finally made it! It was great but even after 4 days I wasn't able to taste any strawberry. Did I mention I have very little sense of smell which causes me to have very little sense of taste. My wife on the other hand, is a super taster and she said she could barely taste any either. So how much more strawberry should I add? Is this one of those FA flavors that is okay to add 15% or would that just kill the flavor?

To be honest I probably add closer to 5% but all the ingredients are increased proportionately. Make sure you really shake strawberry before using it and shake the mix really well also. Try it at different watts. I basically stay real cold. I normally use a 1 ohm coil at 22ish watts. That is about 155 degrees. I like things colder as I can taste better. I also now use 26 instead of 28 kanthal with Japanese cotton. That has seemed to help. Don't know your rda but too much air will decrease the flavor dramatically. I use 1.5 holes in my mutation v3. That seems best for draw and flavor to me.

Did you use both vanillas?

Also, when I make this I set my calculator for 70 drops per ml and use drops. Some I use a cylinder some drops. This one drops. I estimated the percents since most on here seem to like milder stuff. I like mine stronger and normally increase the percentage from original recipes. Hope this helps. Try 5 mls using the 70 drops per ml method. Put your drops in the bottle then bring your base up to the 5 ml line. I know I will get flack for this technique but it works for me.

Wow yeah, that's alot of new info I didn't have last time. My calculator is only set to 35 drops per mil. So that will definitely need to be adjusted. I did use other vanillas and I use a subtank not an rda. Do you this that will make a huge difference?

I have never used a Subtank but from what I read I do think it will be less favorable. Try the drop method I mentioned. Juice grinder allows you to adjust drops if yours does not. It does not save them, as far as I can figure out, so you have note what drops you are using for what recipe. For hics fruit scone I use 50 for the caramel delight I use 70 so I had to figure what was best for me. For hics girl scout Samoa I use a graduated cylinder and his percents, so go figure.

Look at some of Hic's recipes and read his "notes on" different FA flavors. That will give you some idea where to start.

@abrahamfarrar This right here is the #1 rule when using new FA flavors. If HIC has notes on a specific flavor, you need to read them before you use it. Also, if you're gonna play around with fruits, get some coconut and buy some creams. My personal opinion. And don't worry... Pretty soon you'll have just about every flavor FA has to offer. It's just a matter of time. ;)
