Just got vape mail from Liquid Barn!

I just got my "Flavor Kit" from Liquid Barn. My cell phone camera is broken so I couldn't take pics. The packaging was very well done. It arrived in a 9" (or so) square cardboard box full of popcorn with the smaller white "flavor kit" box inside. The 10 15ml glass bottles were bundled together in 2 rows of 5, and the bundle was shrink wrapped nicely. Not a single drop of leakage. These folks have their act together.

I ordered:
  • Blue Raspberry - It smells horrible, but a small drop on my finger tastes just like the frozen blue slushie drinks that you get from the convenience store. It's quite good. LB says that this is a "VG Dominant" flavor.
  • Greek Yogurt - tastes great. I have no idea what real greek yogurt tastes like, so I can't comment on it's fidelity to the real thing. I think this is going to be a great vape by itself, or mixed with a fruit flavor. This one has alcohol in it.
  • Cola Freeze - This is another convenience store slushie drink flavor. It tastes exactly like I would expect. The best cola flavor I've tasted so far (I've had TFA and FA cola before). LB says that this is a "VG Dominant" flavor.
  • Green Apple - I've vaped this one before. My friend who told me about Liquid Barn let me try some of his, and it is what inspired me to order from LB. It is an excellent green apple vape all by itself. It is the best green apple vape I've ever tasted.
  • Lava Cake - I was worried about this one. I think I am going to be wrong. It smells like a delicious chocolate cake. It tastes delicious. I think it is going to be one awesome vape. It is pretty powerful.
  • Vanilla Ice Cream - Smells and tastes just like it I expect.
  • Strawberry Cheesecake - Wow. It tastes perfect. Great cheesecake flavor with just the right amount of strawberry.
  • Strawberry - Smells wonderful. Tastes like a ripe, juicy strawberry.
  • Rootbeer - Tastes exactly like an A&W root beer. This is going to be an excellent vape! This one also has alcohol in it. LB says that this is also a "VG Dominant" flavor.
  • Pink Lemonade - This is one that I worried about when I ordered it. I haven't had a decent tasting lemon vape yet. It tastes perfect! It's going to be an excellent summertime vape! This one has alcohol in it as well.
I'll get to mixing in a day or so. I just started coming down with a cold this morning. I expect that everything will taste like cardboard by tomorrow, so I'll be using up some of the flavors that I already had but didn't like while I can't taste anything. When my smell and taste get back to normal again, I'll report back as to whether they taste as good vaping as they do when I taste them directly.

Based on direct taste tests, I'm a happy camper. I was expecting at least one of them to taste bad. I hope they all taste the same when vaped.

In 2 days, I'll be getting more vape mail from Bull City. :bingo:

Okay. First up... Blue Raspberry. LB recommends starting at 5%. I started at 2%.

I have a mild cold, so my sense of taste is a little off (not much, though). This flavor is a WINNER. It is the first of about 4 different raspberry flavors that I've tried that I like. It is delicious!

Update #2 - I mixed up the Lava Cake at 5%. 2mg nic 40/60

This is just an unbelievably perfect rendition of a chocolate lava cake. The word delicious doesn't even begin to describe it. I have hated every single chocolate vape that I have ever tried. THIS one has my mouth watering. It is the best chocolate vape that I have ever had. The recommended 5% is perfect.

I'm very happy with Liquid Barn's flavors. The two that I have mixed so far are probably the best mixes I've made in the 2+ years that I've been DIY'ing.

If you are thinking about it, just do it. Order a flavor or two and let me know if you think I am wrong. I'm no chef, "super taster", or food expert. I'm just a regular guy with regular taste buds but I think these are some of the best flavors that I've ever tried.

Also, I have NOT checked to see if these have any of the "bad" ingredients. I personally don't believe that the one documented case of popcorn lung can be applied to the vaping environment. That worker dealt with popcorn flavoring dust with exposure over an extended period of time. Please do your own research.

I checked. There are data sheets for each flavor. I change the flavor names in post #1 to hyperlinks. Click on the flavor names to see the data sheet for that flavor.

I bought their DIY kit as well. So far all the flavors I have are winners, but some more so than others.

About to mix up another 4 bottles of 30ml each tomorrow.

Admittedly though, my next flavor purchase will be from a different vendor, only because I want to try different variations of the same flavors to see if there are others I like better.

Edit: I am not a huge fan of the Strawberry Cheesecake on its own but will try it again with another flavor.

@ MD_Boater

I have been vaping the Rootbeer all day today and it's very good. The next time I make up a batch I may add 2% cream to the mix to give it a bit more of a mouthfeel.

I just mixed up Cola Freeze at the recommended 5%. It is very good. It has a similar taste to both FA and TFA Colas, but there is definitely something else in there that mellows out all of the harshness that I experienced with the others. This one is much smoother and is actually pretty darn close to a Slurpee.

The LB flavors have a pretty nice mouth feel, too. It's difficult for me to describe. It feels thick, and luxurious. Not sure why that word keeps popping up in my head, so I guess that's the brain response it triggers.

I'll be getting more of this. I love colas. I think I'll make the Strawberry Cheesecake next.

I made the strawberry cheesecake at 5% and I found it was heavy in the graham cracker flavor.
Personally, I will use it again in conjunction with other flavors as a background note.

to be honest I did not care for it very much on its own at 5% but I can see value in using it with other flavors.

I finally mixed up some of this. You are correct, there is a good bit of Graham taste. Funny I didn't notice that when I directly tasted it right out of the bottle. I really like it. The strawberry shows itself on the exhale and for a couple of seconds after I take a puff. I might try adding some of the LB strawberry just to take it up a notch, too.

Update: I'm on my 2nd tank of this. I'm going to keep vaping it just as it is. I'm getting used to the Graham, and the strawberry is coming through a bit more. I'll be vaping this one for a long time to come.

Update #2 on the Strawberry Cheesecake @CJ-3. After a day, the graham taste seems to have mellowed out and the strawberry is really coming through. I'm not used to single flavor mixes changing, but this one seems to have done just that. I LOVE this flavor!!!

I finally tried the Vanilla Ice Cream, and the Rootbeer, The VIC is dead on. I mixed it at the recommended 5%, but I think I'll try 6 or 7% next time. It tasted great, I just wanted it to be a little stronger. When I got the the last 1/3 of the bottle, I actually put a drop of INA Chocolate in it just to see if I could get a good Chocolate Ice Cream vape. I did. I will absolutely make a big bottle of that soon. 5 drops of INA Chocolate in a 10ml 7% mix of the VIC will be perfect.

The rootbeer is fantastic at the recommended 5%. I made a 30ml of this one and I'm glad I did. I'm looking forward to mixing this with the Vanilla Ice Cream to make a tasty float.

I'm very pleased with the LB flavors so far...

The Pink Lemonade is a keeper! It tastes like the actual drink made from squeezed fruit, not the powdered pink stuff. It has just the right amount of sour. I think one drop of Koolada would give it just a bit of chill. I'll probably try that when I get to the last 1/3 of the bottle.

I am going to be vaping lots of this one on the boat this summer.

I also mixed some of the Greek Yogurt. I'll be trying this tomorrow morning after this tank of pink lemonade is gone.

I'll just keep talkin' to myself...

The Greek Yogurt is a very tasty vape. I'm not sure that I've ever eaten the kind of Greek Yogurt that they were trying to replicate, so I can't say that it is "true to life". I can say that it is a very nice, tasty, 'yogurty' vape. I vaped it all afternoon, and found it truly enjoyable. I might add some blueberry just for giggles. I think it will be fantastic.

The Pink Lemonade is really blowing my skirt up. I really did not expect for it to taste this much like fresh squeezed lemonade, nor did I expect to enjoy it as much as I do. I vaped the whole damn bottle without remembering to put the Koolada in it. I'll have another shot at it later on.

At this point, I've tried all 10. I'm very happy with these flavors. At 5%, all of them tasted great. I'm going to bump the Vanilla Ice Cream and Greek Yogurt to 7% next time. Apparently. my taste buds aren't as sensitive to creams as they are to other flavors. This is not a LB thing, all other flavoring companies' creams have a very light taste to me. I have to add a lot before I can taste them.

The Lava Cake, Strawberry Shortcake, Strawberry, and Pink Lemonade are the ones that surprised me the most. I love those. The other 6 all get runner up status. No losers in this bunch.

Liquid Barn gets 2 thumbs up from me.

None of the Yogurts I've tried have that "cultured zing" part, but they do have the "flavor part".
Hitting on a Blueberry Yogurt myself today:).
All the Fruit + Yogurt recipes I've made have been good, but the Yogurt gets covered up pretty easily IMO.

Got the LB Ice Cream & Blue Raspberry coming to "test the waters", lol.

I have to agree with you on the Pink Lemonade as it is my favorite of the flavors I received as well. I have had it alone and have also mixed it with Blue Raspberry. Both ways were very enjoyable.
