Writer Geoff Johns has been talking about the Darkseid War for a good while now, and it’s clear that he’s been very excited about this story. With issue #40 of Justice League, it becomes joy-gushingly obvious as to where all of that excitement is coming from. While it will be difficult to discuss this issue without getting into spoilers, fans of the DCU’s rich history will undoubtedly want to pick this issue up.
