I did a search on this and didn't find any threads. If I used the wrong key words and this discussion exists I want you to know I at least tried to avoid redundancy.
I watched a Youtube video by "kindlot" regarding this subject. He put an aerotank coil in a Kanger Subtank and it worked. I have the Subtank Mini, which I now use with the RBA base. I was previously using the Kanger Mega and have a lot of the dual coil heads for that tank. They were now just sitting there saying, "Use me, we're ready!"
To add to this, I am now hooked on the DNA 40 temp control. I purchased the temperature sensing coils ( ouch! ) and rebuilt many of the kanthal dual coils for the Mega as NI200 single coils. So I had a grip of coils that were now just sitting there, unused and, collecting dust. After watching Nick (aka "kindlot") put an Aero coil in his Subtank I decided to give it a try in my Subtank Mini . . . it works great!!! No leaks, tight seal, lots of vapor and more room for juice (if you use a Q-tip to plug the chimney tube first ).
So if, by chance, you are like me and have a stash of Kanger dual coils and made the move to a Subtank or Subtank Mini you can use up those old coils. This probably wasn't in Kangertech's design so there may be a chance it won't work for you but hey, it's worth a try . . . Nick and I are using up our old coils and maybe you can too.
