Kanger ni200 .15 ohm OCC on SmokTech Xpro M80 Plus?

So I know the Xpro M80 Plus doesn't have the best reputation on the whole, but so far I've been loving mine... probably mostly because I don't typically care about the TC. Also I'm broke so for the price it's great. I know on the earlier models the Temp Control mode was totally useless, and I believe I've heard that even with the v0006 chip it's only been.... kind of fixed?

I had to order a bunch of subtank heads recently so I decided to nab just two of the .15 ohm coils as I was initially fairly sure I could use them on the M80. Now I'm not so positive.

Can someone confirm or deny? It doesn't bother me if these won't work quite as well on my device as one with a better TC feature, but obviously I don't want to do anything unsafe.

They work good in mine. I find the insulator crushes after a while and they stop making a good connection so I pulled apart a dead one and took the coil out, tightened it a bit, shortened the legs and put it in the rba base. Came out at .12 and also works great, better imo as the rba bases never lose contact and coils last forever just changing the wick once a week or so.

I'm not super fiddly but at least it's good to know there's a way to fix it if that happens, and that the device shouldn't blow up with this set-up. Really the most I like to do is replace the wick/burn off the gunk from the coil in the OCCs to stretch them... otherwise I like super-simple vaping. I build sometimes but it's just not my style. Still, thank you; I certainly don't mind fiddling when I have the time and it makes economical sense to do so.

Speaking of, I do replace the wicks in the OCCs often and it works well overall but often they're kind of spitty once the original wick is changed. Anyone have any recommendations on how to help this?
