Kanger Subox mini burnt taste?

Ok so here's my problem. I have a Kanger Subox Mini and for a while now it just gets this burnt taste, not a bad one but bad enough to annoy me. I have to keep it on the lowest wattage (7.0) and sometimes it'll work fine at like 9.0 but nothing more than that. It used to be completely fine I could have it on like 18-20 with no issue, but now it just does this. I'm using the RBA and using 28 gauge coil and I wrap it 5-6 times and I always soak the s*** out of the cotton before assembling it again. Someone please help with this I want to be able to get it back up to more wattage and be able to make some nice clouds. :(

Maybe too much cotton. Too much can be worse than not enough...

Sounds like too much cotton, I wish I could find the guys you tube video for you on buiding the Kanger RBA, It works really well. I can't, so I will try to explain. There are 2 different RBA's Kanger shipped. V1 has a set screw in front of the RBA, and 2 juice holes you can plainly see. V2 has no screw, and no juice holes that you see. Make cotton thick enough that it will move back and forth through the coil with little pressure. Leave long tails coming out each side of the coil, put the tails through the metal tube, attach the tube, then cut them off flush with the top of the tube, gently tuck the cotton down in front of the holes on V1,on V2 just gently tuck it in, and screw the top of the tube on. pre wet the hell out of it before you put it back in the tank, then take a few hits without pushing the fire button. I run this RBA between 17-20 watts with an 80/20 juice. I've had good luck with the V1, and V2 RBA's. I think the V1 wicks a little better, but the little screw that holds the tube on a V1 is easy to strip the head, and hard to get.

I think this may have solved the problem. I have the V1 and now the tube thingy's lid is stuck together and won't come undo but that's ok I still got it to work. I'm at 15 watts right now I'm gonna keep at this and see how that goes for a bit then up it some more, thank you so much!
