Hello everyone,
I just got a new Kanger Subox Mini starter kit. I fully charged the battery, primed the "0.5" ohm supplied coil, filled with eJuice, set the Wattage at 40w, the led displays everything perfectly, the ohms read 0.6 I hit "Fire Button" and the unit "Powers Off" I tried setting like 30w etc.. and the unit simply "Powers Off" every time. Any help is much appreciated. I am heading off to work, I get back home at 3am Thank you all for your kind assistance
Tara

Do you have another tank or RDA you could try? Seems weird that it won't fire as it's brand new. BTW, you may want to break in the new coil with lower watts when you get it to fire. Starting out at 40W will probably burn the coil out before it gets a chance to break in. Start in the 12 - 15W range and every few hits bring up the watts until you find your sweet spot. That's IF you can get it to fire. Worse case it could be a dud and may need to return it, hopefully that's not the case.

What battery are you using? Old/low amperage batteries will do this

Sounds like best case scenario it's a bad battery. Try vaping using the pass through; plug it into a power source and see if it does the same thing. Where did you buy it?

Hi Guys. Thanks for all the replies. I will answer them all in this post. See your questions in RED & my answers in BLUE below.....

1.) UncleMike - Q: Do you have another tank or RDA you could try?
A: As of now, I do not have another Tank to try out other then a old MT3 Once I get this working I will take your great tip in breaking in the coil!

2.) curlyxcracker. Q: What battery are you using? Old/low amperage batteries will do this
A: I am using a TrustFire 10yr TR 18650 2400mah 3.7V Li-ion battery with Overcharge Protection The dimension in cm of the battery is 6.8 X 3.6 X 1.8 (see image below)

NOTE: Also guy's I would like to note this battery was a very tight fit. I mean TIGHT. However, I have seen post that say there 18650 was hard to get in. Others say there's was easy. Just wanted to through that out to you. Also, I have 2 of them and it Happens on both battery;s...

3.) skt239: Q Sounds like best case scenario it's a bad battery. Try vaping using the pass through; plug it into a power source and see if it does the same thing. Where did you buy it?
A: Not sure if both brand new batteries could be bad. However, anything is possible. I also bought a duel charring wall station for the batteries and there fully charged and read charged in the unit. However, I hit the fire button and the unit powers OFF. As to the "Pass Through" with the battery in the Kbox I plug in the usb cable that came with kit and it does the exact same thing.. As to were I got it, my son bought it from me when he was in TX at a vape shop. He does not even remember the name of the shop. (bless his heart)

That's were I'm at with this.. I can scroll through all options while powered on, just when I fire it diees. It does play HELL sometimes after restarting to stay on.... trust-fire.JPG Thanks for the reply's hopefully this will generate some new answers to a solution.

God only knows what those battery's really are. Never trust a battery with fire in it's name. If it's a protected battery it's going to be current limited and shut itself off if you draw too much current and are best suited for a flashlight. Try a different battery. Will it fire at it's lowest wattage setting with that battery or better yet take it to a local shop and try another battery, new battery's are not fully charged but it will tell you if the units bad or the battery's the problem. I recommend Samsung, Sony or LG battery's but even an Efest or Imren will do.

I should mention that if it is a protected battery it has a small circuit board at the bottom and is slightly longer than a regular 18650 hence the tight fit. You want a 20 amp minimum, flat top unprotected battery.
