Ok need some info

1. i read somewhere that the stock coils with the white insulators are the old style ones and that the ones with red bands are the GOOD ones

can any one confirm and elaborate?

2. I saw that kanger is changing the minis rba deck and changing the coils to vertical coils

can someone confirm this and tell me where to get them

Thanks

1. Yes the white o ring coils are the older ones and the red are the newer. I dont know how much better the reds are from the whites since i had issues with the red ones not wicking. Seems like i only got 1-2 good ones out of a pack.
2. Yes the rda has been changed, i am waiting on my new K Box to see if it is an improvement over the original mini rba. Juice channels are gone and now there are 2 large juice holes on the sides, removing the sleeve is going to be much easier now with the screw holding it on instead of it threading on. Yes the OCC coils are now vertical but seems like as of right now they only come with the K Box but im sure that will change soon.

I sent a message to Kanger, and am awaiting a response on the differences between red and white

The red ones I have seem to get wicking issues after about 2 weeks of use
which isnt a big deal
push the cotton around with a pin and it works fine again for a few days.

I may just send pack both 5 packs i just got with white o rings. grab 1 or 2 red ones form the local b&m and wait till the vertical coils are available separately

I not into buiding coils. I may one day which is why I got the mini, so just in case one day i do want to I have something to start with.
If i get a reply from kanger I will post it

When my wick starts getting funky, I just remove the wick, clean the coil, rewick with new Japanese cotton and it's good as new for another week or so. It's quite simple and worth the couple minutes it takes to do it.

I use just the rba, i will try the new vertical coils but for me the rba is the best way to go. Never a dry hit and cheaper to rebuild.

Ok
I have never built a coil in my life. Im like a complete idiot about coil building.
SO here's question #1
I get about 3 weeks of life out of a stock coil
How long does your coil last with DOING NOTHING TO IT. no tinkering, no changing cotton, etc

You can pull the cotton out and then make a new wick and thread it through the juice holes. I rewick mine several times before they get trashed.

Depends on the juice and watts you vape at. I get a few weeks before it tastes funky, then I re-wick.

I've always heard they are the same, red or white, but I will add this -
I put one in my nano that had a white grommet. Within two puffs, I had juice pouring out of the airflow. I removed the tank from the mod and had a tough time unscrewing the bottom from the rest of the tank. Next thing ya know, I'm holding the base in one hand and the coil is still inside the tank in the other. The grommet and cap had come off and were stuck in the base. Got the coil out of the tank and went through the aggravation of making another, but the bottom cap kept falling off the grommet, like the grommet was too big. It was too big. All my other stock coils have the red one and have never given me a problem.

I can t stand the nano
that little metal horseshoe inside the tank, got bent just a hair, and the coil gets stuck on it now and and the base gets stuck to the metal tube. The nano is a pain to disassemble for me. the mini is designed much better.

Haven't had any trouble with mine. The coil fell apart in this one. Haven't had any trouble disassembling for cleaning either. I use it mainly to try new mixes because it doesn't hold a lot, but my favorite is my Kanger sub tank plus and the rba deck.

Rba build lasted 4 weeks untik i replaced the cotton wick and could have gone longer since i was not getting dry hits. I have been on the same coil coil for like 6 weeks now.
Check iut some youtube vids on building the rda, there is a bunch out there.

Yep the reds are the freshest coils being made, whites are older version. Don't know anything yet about the Kanger changing the minis, maybe because theres a few kinks in them, there probably making a better version. There's always room for improvements in the every changing world of vaping.

You have to be real careful when removing the fill and vape coils.

If you're not paying attention and you pull the coil out and that bottom pin pops off

Next thing you know it's rattling around in the base, you put a new coil in on top and BAM! Dead Short!

Another issue with the Kanger Subtank. The mini in my case. Out of all the tanks I have, I broke the glass after a week. And the tube just will not come off! And I have tried soaking in warm and hot water. Thinking of getting some Holy Water to see if that works.

Whats the sence in giving you a replacement tube you can't use?

And PS Kanger, use QUARTZ!

Mine must be ass backwards because when i'm filling it I have to be really careful or the top just slides off and I end up with 4 ml's of juice on my hand

I just recently ordered and received several packs of new coils, .5, 1.2 and 1.5 coils, they are of the new Vertical Design", no horizontal section of cotton. I have checked all the boxes and they are authentic. They came in Red/Black Boxes, and the coils bear the "RED" o-ring so I know not the nickle, which have the "Blue" o-ring, and require a VV/VW Mod, which I now have.

The new coils will not function in my current K-Boxes, I have (3) Silver units less than a year old. I use Kangertech Sub-Tank Plus Tanks (all authentic), Batteries are just fine. I also have (2) Minis, (2) Nanos, and the new freaking vertical coils will not work on any of the damn K-Boxes

When I use the vertical coils the lights just flash, no firing, I put one of the old design in the same tank and works just fine... What the heck?

Anyone else having this issue. Happens on the .5, 1.2, and 1.5 vertical coil designs.

Help please.
