Kanger Subtank Mini clone acting up

I got a Subtank Mini clone through Fasttech because Kanger didn't offer the unit in black by itself.

It's started acting up, seems to be the connection pin. It's not spring loaded and had worked fine on my Kanger KBOX. Now nothing. Limited success on other mods, works for a while, then not or nothing at all.

I've thoroughly cleaned the Subtank, tried different heads, no luck. I'd write it off, it was cheap, but I just ordered five new 0.5 heads and hate to throw that money away.

It would seem to be a very simple problem, apparently not.

Not good to hear, just got one of those myself but haven't used it yet. You can get a new contact pin from Kanger for 99 cents, if it turns out that's the problem.
I almost never got the sleeve off the rda, had to pry it off with a small flat screwdriver.

Turns out the Subtank Mini clone works fine, the KBOX is the problem. None of my other mods would reliably fire a 0.5 head, not the tank's problem.

The KBOX has a pretty widespread flaw, the rubber grommet/insulator around the pin goes bad with screwing tanks on and off. If reported here, I missed it. None seem bullet proof but all are on the right track. I've got my KBOX up and running again for the time being with some other ideas in mind if things go bad again.

I have a Subtank Mini clone as well as it was cheap and I wanted to do an A/B. Besides the terrible coil that it came with, everything else has been on par with the authentic ones. Mind you, mine only came with the tank, coil, and drip tip (no RDA, extras, etc). I would have no issue giving it to someone as I have to keep it far away from the authentic ones since they are IDENTICAL.
