Kanger Subtank OCC and base help!

I bought a Subtank Mini from Mtbaker Vapor and have used the .5 occ coil for about a week, decided I wanted to try my hand at rebuilding and put together my RBA for the tank. Tried it for an hour or so and decided that I liked the vapor better with the occ coil, so I unscrewed the RBA from the base and tried to put in the new coil, but it wouldn't catch the threads, so I tried my old .5 and that wouldn't screw in either, so I tried putting the RBA back in and that wouldn't even thread either! So I took apart the airflow base to see if I could get it to thread by applying pressure and only twisting into the piece with the actual threads and not even that worked. Can anyone tell me how to fix the threading issue, I'm getting desperate here (I'm using my aerotank mega in the meanwhile and she doesn't taste nearly as good as the Subtank, I'm not sure how long I can handle this peasantry) here's some pics of which parts I'm referring to http://m.imgur.com/7SUXo8W,0yF3mCO,3I838gD

Sounds like you may have cross threaded it. Look at the threads on the base and see if they are wonky or possibly there's a burr or something in the threads that's preventing you from putting the head i., Run a piece of scotchbrite ( that abrasive green stuff on the back side of a dish sponge ) around the threads to clean them. If that doesn't work, and you don't have a tap and dye set..... I think you can buy just a new base for the kanger sub. Do you have a vape store nearby that you can take it into?

Tried the scotch brute and it didn't work. Sadly I don't have any stores nearby, I'll probably just order another base if nobody else has any ideas

Unfortunately I've gotta agree - sounds like you may have roached the threads. Only way to know more is if you can post super close-up pics of the threading in your base, but I think you may be ordering a new one. Rule of thumb - if it's difficult to twist even a little bit at first, don't force it!
