Kanger topbox kit rba question

I have been messing around with my topbox kit trying to find what coils I like the most. My favourite has been the 0.5 Clapton they provided. Im on my last provided coil which is the 0.5 ss coil and I don't like it at all. I tried out the rba and it tastes the same as the pink o-ring coil. I'm just wondering what the wire is that comes pre-built in the rba. Also any advice on best wire for flavour would be nice. I don't mind buying the 0.5 claptons if my local shop has them but if I can get the rba figured out then I don't mind building it either. Thanks

I'm almost (but not quite) certain that the prebuilt RBA coil is made of Kanthal. Hopefully someone will be along soon that can confirm it.

Personally, I'm a fan of either Nickel or SS for flavor. I do vape almost exclusively in temperature control mode though, so YMMV.

Thanks. If it is kanthal, shouldn't it taste close the the Clapton coil?

Anyone else got input? I bought a couple more coils but would like to figure out the rba. I tried the other pre wrapped coil and it tastes like garbage as well. It doesn't taste burnt, just gross.

Kanger does not specify what wire they use for their VW heads. They're either Kanthal or Nichrome. They're NOT Satinless, which I've become a big fan of. SS vapes in VW or TC modes. The coil lasts forever, is easy to clean and rewick and provides a bit crisper flavor. Kidney Puncher has a full compliment of SS316L.
