Kanger's Newest Mod: Kanger Cupti 2

The Kanger CUPTI 2 is Kangetech’s new All in One Device – means the tank still sits inside of the mod just like the original CUPTI does, it features an ergonomic design that fits perfectly in the hands, 5ml capacity of e-liquid, takes dual 18650 batteries which are still easy to replace and you can charge it via USB cable included (kanger recommends 30mAh power battery). The Kanger Cupti 2 is the follow-up to the Cupti which was a very popular box mod kit setup. The kit features an box mod/tank all-in-one design, airflow control,temperature control and 80W of power which can be easily upgraded to 100W by installing the new firmware.This new Cupti looks less like its predecessor and more like Kanger’s 160W drip box.

The design is exquisite with a Kangertech logo on the side that match the button colors for a modern look.The dimensions of the Cupti 2 come in at 42.5mm x 51.5mm x 84mm and it is made from zinc alloy with a durable finish. The kit is available in white, black or silver. The wattage range on the CUPTI 2 is from 80-100W and the CUPTI 2 does have temperature control mode for stainless steel, nickel, titanium, NiChrome and TCR modes. The CUPTI 2 has an adjustable air flow with fairly large drip tip as well like the CUPTI does, and CLOCC/CLRBA “CHILD LOCK ORGANIC COTTON COIL/ CHILD LOCK Rebuildable Atomizer” coils are still in the game.

On the control face, you will find a large square fire button and a large rectangular adjustment button. There’s also an OLED with a simple, but effective, menu that displays battery level, resistance, voltage, wattage, temperature, mode and battery level. The menu looks to be the same as the one you will find on the Drip Box 160W.Inside the Cupti Two, you will find a 5ml tank which is made of Pyrex glass and has a simple top fill system for an easy refill process. The internal tank’s e-liquid levels can be easily monitored through a viewing window on the back and the tank is said to be completely leak-proof.

Also, Kangertech listen to their customer’s feedback about the placement of the micro-USB port at the bottom of the device which makes it impossible to have it charging on sitting upright position. So they deal with this issue and place it on the side of the device together with the LCD display and the interactive buttons, which in the previous version, the CUPTI, the placement of the buttons are on the top of the device.The CUPTI 2 is a solid performer just like its original brother, it produces a solid amount of vapor and the flavor from the Stainless Steel coil is rich and full. The buttons work well, the display is crisp easy to read especially it’s now on the side of the unit, switching between coil types, temperature control, and variable wattage modes are still simple and intuitive.

This setup utilizes two 18650 external battery which are easily exchanged by opening the hinged battery cover at the bottom. Or, you can charge the cells by plugging the device into any USB outlet. The mod is capable of 80W of power when you receive it in the mail, but can be easily upgraded to 100W by upgrading the firmware. It can be powered in both power and temperature control mode and has a low atomizer resistance of 0.1Ω, so it can be used with other atomizers. To do so, simply install the included 510 tank adapter by removing the built-in tank. Temperature modes include stainless steel, nickel and titanium.

The Cupti 2 Kit easily plugs into the computer for upgrading the software or to customize settings. By installing Kanger’s software on your deskktop PC, you can also customize the box mod or set the temperature coefficient of resistance in any of 5 available memory slots for a more accurate vape experience.The screen is set back from the frame and for good reason. An OLED screen isn’t made of steel but of a durable material which is still vulnerable when the mod is dropped.

The Kanger CUPTI 2 self-contained e juice vape mod features removable batteries but can be recharged via USB. This small port has to be there for firmware upgrades, but if you want to take the batteries out that’s probably the better way to go.Experts recommend removing cells and replacing them with new ones when you need fresh batteries. This gives a set of cells time outside of the box so they don’t risk overheating. Also, cells are recharged more quickly using AC power than via USB.

Buttons are large, raised, and appear to be soft. They possess that comfortable tactile feel that’s so nice and easy to use.Buttons are arranged around a bright OLED display which allows vapers to monitor what their machine is doing and remind themselves of the settings they chose half an hour ago, before they started thinking about something else.
