Allright. So the following is my take on the Subtank Mini and Nano and the OCC coilheads. Lets start out with the coilheads, because all are not the same and the difference in performance is massive.
When buying new coilheads, please make sure you get the ones with the RED insulators, not white. The ones with the white insulators taste like someone has put a rubber duck in an oven. The ones insulated with the red stuff taste wonderful, right there with the Kayfuns and no weird rubbery aftertaste. Only real issue i have with these is the way they are wicked. In China they pack these so full with cotton that anywhere over 20-25w they start to taste burnt. Luckily its an easy fix, just poke through the cotton with a sharp needle and wiggle it around a bit, that makes a small channel for the juice to get right in the middle of the coil, where its needed the most. With that easy fix, i can run 70vg at 30-35w and the vape is just wonderful.
Allright, then to the tank itself. These are easy to wash and rinse all through, i have had zero leaking, no gurgles, just a great vape. Airflow is pretty versatile, it can be used fully open for easy lung hits or closed off for somewhat comfortable mouth to lung.
Only real issue, beside the one with the coilheads, is the RBA section. The juiceflow is just not good, not good at all. I suspect its made that way to prevent leaking, but at the same time its making it very hard to get working at higher wattages. When i got it working, the taste was good. So maybe Kanger should open up the juiceflow a bit, because as it stands i don't even use the RBA. Its a PITA, always being careful not to get a dry hit.
Other than that, i can only say that the hype is real. Hope this helped some of you who are willing to dial down on wattage and vapor for better flavor.
