State of Kansas (government) --- what a bunch of losers! (i'm originally FROM Kansas --- so I can say that )

I still have a "sales tax" beef with them after not living there for 4+ years. They are IDIOTS!

I am in Kansas, so really hoping they at least get it cut to 5%, that 20% will be a killer for vendors and customers.

Taxes like that are pretty much unenforceable. Make 'em too high and people will find a way around them, especially with something that's trivially easy for anyone to make at home. Sounds to me like the Kansas Department of Revenue has figured that out.

When mAssachusetts ramped up the sin tax on cigarettes, at the time pushing them over $8.00 a pack, know what we did?

Made a monthly shopping trip to New Hampshire...

It can be hard to figure out some times - does a State actually want certain tax revenue or not?
