Bought this about a month ago. Still sitting in box brand new on my desk.

Anyone have a link to a good tutorial video ? Or article with good pics? Thank you!

Rip Trippers does some builds on the kayfun lite. The one thing to know is a kayfun is a kayfun is a kayfun. The major differences between them are if they have air flow control or not, and the filling method whether is the side port or bottom port. Also are you into rebuilding or just starting rebuilding? Do you have a way to check your ohms? Do you have the correct battery for the ohms you are trying to achieve? What gauge is the wire you are using to make coils? What wicking material are you using? Just some questions I have.

Give a man a fish he lives for a day teach a man to fish and he can feed himself.

I want the best build at 1.4 ohms or more using 28g kanthal with cotton wick that will producebetter flavor than store bought coils for Aspire/Kanger. This is for a regulated pv that can only go to 15 watts max and mostly clear liquid. .

I say, Give a man a fish he lives for a day teach a man to fish and he sits in a boat and drinks beer all day.

True enough.

Thanks for reply.
I have an IGO-L and built a few coils for that. the coils came out nice @1.7 ohms which is what I was hoping for. so far all have worked fine. but I'd say I'm a newbie

30 gauge A1 kanthal & cotton balls I use on the IGO-L

I have a meter & vamo v5 to check ohms
I mainly use 18650 2000mah batteries
just got a efest 2100 - 30amp in today

Hmm RIPs video talks about the kayfun and throat hit. Any way to build on this and not get throat hit?

Hi Claire,
Shame on you for letting it sit so long :)
IIRC, last time I wrapped one for the Kayfun I used a 6/5 coil, 30ga, wrapped around a 14ga blunt DIY needle, and wound up with 1.64 ohms. I position my coil diagonally across the air hole with about 1mm of space below the coil. This gives me a pretty nice vape with most of my liquids, though I have found I need to drop my nic levels a bit more. In my experience, the throat hit depends on both the build and the liquid. Keep the build simple and at the resistance you're currently using, an there should be little difference between it and the dripper. Of course, that's my experience, YMMV, etc. :)

PS: I'm sure you already know this, but you're going to need to do a serious scrub job before it's ready for a build. I used Dawn and a pan of tap-hot water (keeps me from losing screws and parts in the sink), and I disassembled everything. A pipe cleaner and a toothbrush will be your friends :)

Mr cavediver! Good to see you.

Thank you for the guidance. And ya. Pretty sad it's been sitting in the box brand new for so long.

I'll keep your tips in mind. I currently use a aerotank for my ryd4 mix and a vision clearo for energy drink ADV. LOL Ive tried evod. Iclear. Novas (yuck) and clearo is the only one that gives me the taste I like for the energy drink. I'm hoping the kayfun will replace the clearo.

The kayfun gives me a flavor that's identical to my drippers, though I'd say the dripper is a tiny, tiny bit stronger.

Once you get it going, you're going to wonder why you waited so long :)

It is very sad that it is sitting in the box when you could be enjoying much enhanced flavor. The Kayfun lite plus was my very first build ever. Watched Rip Tripper's video a few times and a few others and then just dived in. Now I use Kayfuns daily and put away my Aerotanks. I like 1.1 to 1.4 ohm builds.

Great choice with the v2, the improvements are huge, and should help someone new to them, like you. The vacuum seal is much better now, so leaking is more from wicking or other issues. It's pretty damn hard to mess up that seal on the v2 chimneys. Super cool update.

I use 30 gauge, and cotton, too, and 6-7 wraps on a 1/16th is pretty consistently 1.2 ohms, and my sweet spot. I'd try that resistance out, but feel free to experiment, that's the fun.
