Kayfun V4 vs Kangertech mini

hey guys, ive been using the kangertech subtank mini for a while now and recently put it on a Louper T6 100W box.
the thing runs great although im struggling to build decent coils in it due to its size.

i came across a issue a few times which has now resulted in me destroying the rebuild-able part of the subtank. the thing splits into 3 parts to do the coil builds, but it keeps getting stuck, and this final time i couldn't take apart with out the use of pliers which has damaged the rebuild-able casing.

so its time for a upgrade, it has served me well for the past 7 months.

ive just purchased a new original Kayfun V4, and waiting delivery, ans i was wondering what am i to exspect in the terms of comparison of flavors etc??

it was fairly pricey compared to the subtank, around 4 times the price lol.
so im hoping it performs a lot better.

i find myself at the moment building new coils and wicks a lot lately on the subtank as im using low wattage and low gauge coil to fit in there.

regards

4 times the price? Is this an authentic? Either way I would personally consider it a "side-grade" compared to the subtank mini. The kayfun 4 has way too many parts first of all. Tighter draw which I'm sure is fine for mouth to lung hitters so if that's your bag then you probably are fine. But in my opinion I hardly look at a Kayfun v4 as much of an upgrade over a subtank mini, in terms of flavor I couldn't tell the difference, but I'm also more into the dual coil RTA's so when I puff on a single coil they all seem underwhelming now. If you want to run something with more power look into dual coil RTA's. Billow V2 being my personal favorite.

At 4 times the price you either got an original very cheaply or you have a very expensive clone (or you paid too much for your subtank!).

The airflow is much, much less on the Kayfuns. Flavor is good, but it's an entirely different vape. Pretty steep learning curve with a ton of different parts and things to fiddle with!

Personally I like both. I'm a fan of the Kayfun's, but......the V4 is just not a good temp control atty. It works great with Kanthal and I love the flavor. As others have said, the airflow is much restricted up against the Kanger. But, I want decent vapor and GOOD flavor. The Kayfun serves my purposes well. Due to the spring to the positive connection it just is all over the place when trying to do TC.

thanks for the info guys, ive ordered the original at around 120 quid. :/ so not the cheapest, ive read around and heard a lot of people saying most clones dont even come close to the original in flavour and quality...
im hoping i havnt just jumped in there and wasted a load of coin now after reading these comments.
i dont usualy do straight hits, usualy mouth to lung, as with the kanger it doesnt taste too great straight to lungs :/

any other info or input good or bad would be great to hear still :D and i will deff look into the dual coil tanks.
ive had a helic coil fit fine in the kangertech at around 20 watts, im hoping the kayfun can take a little wattage too. :)

If you're going to use the Kayfun V4 for "non" temp control builds, I think you'll love it! Airflow is a little better than the other Kayfun models and the flavor is great! I just wouldn't use it for temp control unless you enjoy a great deal of frustration :)

im still new at this so not sure about the temp control stuff :/ feel free to educate me!
im going to be using the kayfun on the Clouper T6 100W mod. i know this is way overpowered for this tank... but i wanted a box that would fit most tanks and RDAs :p

Kayfun v4 is my solid reliable tank, always works no issues upto 80vg, make sure to remove airflow control screw it helps greatly for performance. It is not my favorite tank as prefer more airflow, but easy to build, modify, fill and no leaking for me.

Congrats, I have an authentic kf4, and it is nice mouth to lung atty. probably one of the best built for build quality, the only thing I would say, is that you may consider getting the 4s kit to up your airflow. I've been primarily using RDAs and much larger airflow RTAs for a while when I got my kf4 and the stock draw is way more tight than I was used to; but, that kit opens it up....a little. Still if you're looking for a more relaxing vapes at lower power, you can't go wrong there. it was great flavor, its super east to build on, and a very consistent performer. My normal build on it is a single coil, 26g at about 0.7-0.8 ohms. And i'll run it about 22w.
Congrats again!
