Kbox mini decided to take a day off .... Hope it isn't retiring

So my box worked just fine as per usual . woke up this morning . went to fire the bitch . Nada . no blinking light . no screen display at all. And needless to say no heat supplied to the coil .
Tried cleaning all connections
Took the bitch apart replaced the rubber gasket under the pin and reset the pin a bit higher to make a solid connection . left it on the charger about an hr or so . obviously started out trying the five button tap which turned into the tweaked out rapid fire of power button tapping
No progress whatsoever
And here I am today .
I'd love some tips tricks or pointers
Or any combo of the three
And.......

Hate to say it but that's what I was thinking
Jus copped a tfv4 mini anyways and neither of my mods have enough balls to power that piece of artwork . hell that's prolly wat killed my kbox ha-ha damn

I was thinking about that, you probably burn or shorted a circuit inside the KBOX,tv4 is too powerful for the KBOX

Had a similar problem once with my Presa. Found a firmware update and loaded it.............Voila! Unit worked again.

I haven't seen on Kanger's site anything about firmware or update software. Until they do, it's probably time for a new device.

I've been through two of the dang things. Try as I might to defend it, it's always a connection problem with the 510, something with the gasket that doesn't sit right and makes it flub. Backing the atty out might work, but then you have a wobbly, unsecured connection up top. I gave in and headed in a different manufacturer direction with mods, never looked back. It's neat and fun when it works, and the price-point is decent, but we certainly aren't buying it for life when we go with the KBox. Sorry to hear yours bit the sandwich, my condolences. :/

edit: disregard, I missed the 'mini' part of your thread title. I've never gone back to Kanger VV mods after running through two of the original Kboxes, so disregard everything I said up til the condolences part.

Yep, that's how I gauge that everything's OK.

I know they're immensely popular but I've been satisfied and vaping happily since I stopped buying Kanger products.

Ha-ha yea I guess they are kind of a hit and miss / love/hate company I've heard the absolute best praises about them and I've heard the same amount of pure hatred for them from some ppl haha oh well
