"There was no evidence of post-cessation weight increase in those who reduced substantially cigarette consumption by switching to ECs (i.e., dual users) and only modest post-cessation weight increase was reported in exclusive EC users at F/U 12m. By reducing weight gain and tobacco consumption, EC-based interventions may promote an overall improvement in quality of life."

I'm not surprised that weight gain in vapers is modest at best. We don't use food as a substitute for the hand-mouth habit, and we still get nicotine's effect on metabolism.

I weight about 10 pounds less than I did 5 years ago when I was still smoking, but part of that is due to having reduced my intake of carbs around the same time.
