leaky tank?

A friend of mine is having a leakage issue with her Kanger sub tank mini. It is leaking around the air holes. She closes the valves when she fills up the tank but it always leaks. She has replaced coils, orings but it still leaks quite a bit. She was told she needed thicker juice so she corrected that but it still leaks. I am too much of a noob to figure this out so I pose the problem to you guys....could it just be a bad tank?

ive heard of the subtank having leak issues before.
I don't own one, but here are the remedies ive heard
tightening the top
ensuring the orings are line up well, without any saces at the seams
flipping it upside down and blowing into the driptip to equalize vaccum pressure

hopefully someone who owns one can chime in with a more experience based answer.

Which coils is she using and which subtank?
If she is using the new one there's a number of videos on YouTube to stop leaking and had to do w O rings.
I had the clear -red one the first one out and it never leaked and i gave it away- kinda regret it lol but I survived.
It is a great tank I hope a fix can be done- literally take it apart put it back piece by piece o ring and all- see how it works.
It's leaking through some place.
I would suggest the square coils too- they seem to be leakproof for me.

The bottom of the tank has a THICK O ring- make sure it's a thick one- if not liquid will seep out

Had the same issue since a got the subtank mini. I've had it a year now and constanly have to take apart and clean. Love vaping on this but drips on my clothes if I wear it around my neck with a lanyard. Very frustrating because this is my goto tank. Finding it hard to part with this and go with something else but I might just have to. I usually only vape at 15-25 watts. Any suggestions on a nice sub-ohm 5-6ml capacity tank or toptank that vapes similar to the subtank without leak issues? (already have both nautilus)

I have a whole bunch of subtanks I used to use, and every one of them leaked, even when I changed the O rings! I recently got a Wotofo Stentorian steam engine, and that one is good so far (best price seems to be at 101vape).

Iv'e got one. Sometimes it leaks. When it does, I swap the in a fresh set of FT o-rings, it usually doesn't leak at all for a month or so with the thick ass juice I use. But they were cheap, and come in sets of 10, or even 50! I also use VaporWerksUSA vertical coils. As I mentioned, I use very thick 100% VG juice, watered down a tiny bit. I still need to make sure its usually vertical. YMMV...

I have several subtank mini but I only use the RBA in them, the first coil from them was leaking a bit so I swapped it with the RBA and that ended the leaking for me. I realize that doesn't really sole your problem but since they sold the RBA as part of the kit, you might want to try it.

Since your friend is using that particular thank, I am assuming she is MTL vaping ( mouth to lung, like a cigarette). There are several tanks out there that are pretty good, some are RTA tanks where you build the coil ( Hurricane, Kayfun mini v3, Goblin mini v2) others are the type using pre made coils ( Melo 3 mini, TFV4 micro). The last two mentioned can be used with an RBA coil or the pre-made coils.
