Lemo Drop

Let's talk about this!

I have a Lemo Drop and I'm starting to really enjoy it. I'm curious how people build theirs and what wattage they run. I currently use a 10 wrap coil of 26g around a 2.5mm screwdriver that ohms out to 1.2. I use the bunny ear technique with Japanese cotton and I rate the flavor a 7 out of 10. I know it can be better. I run it up to about 35 watts with the airflow wide open before I get a dry hit. I've tried different builds and different airflow, but the flavor hasn't gotten better than a 7. I do wish I could get higher wattage. Please share your opinions and recommendations.

I'm using my lemo drops on my rdna 40, so my experience is probably a little different than yours. I'm using 9 wraps around a 3mm screwdriver with 28 gauge nickel wire. The build usually comes out to around .20 ohms. I'm running it at 25 watts and the flavor of my juices is out of this world. It's been so good that I have boxed my rda's.

p.s. I should have added that I'm wicking with organic Japanese cotton.

How high above the air tube is your coil? As close as possible or is it lifted above substantially?

only a guestimate. close to 2mm, probably a tad less than that. but it does vary from build to build. but never over 2mm. I've never notice an appreciable difference in temperature of vape or flavor, so I've never paid much attention to it.

are your wraps touching like a micro coils, or spaced apart?

This is great info. Looking to pick up either the Lemo or lemo drop to replace my atlantis for flavor reasons.

they're spaced. I can't really do the touching coils because I won't dry burn the nickel to see if there are any shorts.
I'm building my nickel coils both ways. When I build touching coils I pulse them just like kanthal to get em lighting up right.

Watch out for tank cracking juice attacking that small black oring on the top of the chimney. I put some clear Lime flavoured juice in my Lemo drop and it turned into a black soup within minutes.

I've tried several builds with mine. I use 26 gauge Kanthal with around 8 wraps. I wick it kind of tight in the coil and fan out the wick so it looks like a bowtie. Then i shove them down the sides where they are snug. I tried it so many ways and i saw most people recommend that you leave the juice channels open but i found i got a lot of dry hits that way. I use a decent amount of Japanese cotton and shove in the holes and never get dry hits now.

Flavor is amazing, airflow is amazing. Great little tank.

Steam Engine calculator shows your at .13 with 9 wraps of nickel using 28gauge 3mm id. It says .2 would be 14 wraps.

Where do you buy the lemo drop?

Hybrid wick improves the flavor even more. Right now i have #200 mesh and jappy cotton wicks and the flavor is pretty much as good as it gets.
