Yeah no clue if I spelled it right anyway.
So I am finding that any mod with a built in battery has about a 3-4 month life with the way I vape, before the battery just doesn't charge fully.

Ok

So looking at mods that take replaceable batteries such as an IPV 3li or anything like it; how long do these mods last?

I know the ipv 3li just came out. But If I were to buy a mod that takes replaceable batteries, it would be my all day device. Im not one for having 10 different mods laying around. I just want that one thing that works for me and I am happy.
SO if I buy some regulated mod that makes me happy and uses replaceable batteries how long would a good quality device last before the electronics gave out and it no longer functions properly? 3 months, a year? no one really can say?

Like anything else it depends on the mod and how you treat it,
I have provari 2.5s that are almost 2years old, have been run over by my truck, dropped in a pool, and beaten half to hell, they still look good and if I popped in a battery would fire right up(hasn't happened in a while). I have a DIY dna40 Hana that's 6 months old and works like the day it was made.
I also have a pair of vaporshark DNA 30s(a year old), one has a ground out 510 that wont make contact win anything and the other is fine.My sxmini's are both first run, and look, vapes and function like they were just taken out the box.
Another point of reference .... I just picked up a hexohmv2.1. great little dual 18650 VV mod, barebones, does the equivalent of 110-120w regulated and has a lifetime warranty.

Point I'm making is its entirely device dependent.... and the high wattage mods are still 'fairly' new in relation to vaping which is a fairly new industry so its not easy to answer; but, as fast as new tech is coming your interest would probably die Before higher quality mod.

I find that all my box mods which are over 5 months old have developed faults. Some minor (wobbly 510 on the cloupor mini), some major (mvp3 has gone pop and is now dead). I reckon they're designed to be semi disposable. If you're lucky, they'll give you a good year. Then you chuck em out and replace with a newer and more advanced bit of kit.

As already mentioned, I bought a Provari mini well over 18 months ago, which I used exclusively until I gave it to a friend who still uses it as her only mod. She dropped it off a roof, dropped it in the street where it was run over, and although the paint is now a bit scuffed it performs as well as it did the day I bought it!

I haven't had anything else as long, although I expect my SX Mini M class to work as long as the Provari.

The only three mods I've had that failed were the 20 watt Istick (the pin went wonky, which I fixed, but then I tried to open it up and semi broke it!), my Evic VT which stopped charging after 6 weeks, and my IPV Mini II which was replacced under warranty (it stopped recognizing atomizers).

Best lasting mod thus far.....

MVP !
Two of them at just over two years and work like the day they were bought, except I probably have a little shorter battery life but too small a difference for me to notice.
One is still my back up device and I use it at least one day a week, the other my wife semi-retired and it now powers the dripper we use for testing DIY liquids.
Not to shabby IMHO,,,,,,
