Limitless rdta spitting

first post here. I've been lurking for a long time. I can usually find answers but haven't found anything on this.

I have a limitless and its spitting. So bad that I'm drinking liquid. It's disgusting. I have a .3 ohm build with the wicks just reaching the glass. Running 70 watts. Any ideas?

For now, back to my regular rda

coils look good btw - two things I'd try off the bat ... wick a bit tighter / space the coils a bit (to prevent juice pockets)
what wire? and TC or power?

Idk if I can get the wicks any tighter but I'll try spacing them. I even tried a regular build, 22g 7 wrap .2 ohm coil and it spit too. Thanks for the suggestion!

Edit: 70 watts power. Not TC

I noticed it seems to spit when they're hot. If I pick it up after not using it for awhile, it's fine for a few hits

Your coil and wick look good. It is spitting because liquid is boiling instead of being evaporated at high rate. Try jacking up the wattage to 100watt or higher. I run my at 150 and there is no spit back at all

Did it work?
Higher wattage dropped my nic from 9mg to 3mg instantly.

Thanks :) I put it at 80 and it was fine but I only took maybe 5 hits. I'll let you know tomorrow how it goes. I'm off to bed

That is a odd thing , I have 4 of these 2 regulars and 2 plus's Clapton are nice , twisted are nice , all gave me a little popping spitting but not to that extent , best builds I have put in are a 24ga 3mm 11 wraps tight and a 28 ga 8 wrap spaced. Both heat quickly at 60w and I occasionally run up to 75 but have no popping/spitting issues as long as I am pulling on them

curious. what diameter coils are you using? and what ratio of pg/vg? Reason I ask is i'm thinking it's wicking too much for the draw you are using..

About 2.5-3mm. I use a little screwdriver to make them lol. You thinking they need to be bigger so I can get more cotton in there?

I was also wondering if maybe the coils are sitting too high?

pictures you posted show the coils at about the right level so don't think they are too high.
And guessing it seem'd like the diameter was around there.. I usually use a post that just fits the wick holes to choose the coil diameter.. I like the holes to be snug and use that size for making the coil. Keeps leaking to a minimum and seems to wick enough for me. are you using a thin (High PG) juice or a high vg?

that should wick fine.. nothing out of the ordinary... coils look good, cotton looks clean, I vape 20/80 as well with no issues so thats not it... are you running TC ? is it set up correctly.. sorry, don't mean to be insulting .. just at a loss to figure it out ... if using TC and it's set wrong it might be running way hotter than it thinks it is... two things i can think of to leave ya with for now.. 1) try closing down the draw a bit .. less air may regulate the juice flow better .. or 2) try going back to basics.. just build a single (not twisted) dual build 3.0/3.5 diameter right around the .3 ohm range like you use already.. see if that will help.

oh yeah.. if your using TC .. def try spacing the coil... sometimes tc gets confused if it's touching each ring.

Yes I can see it. Didn't read all replies yet but this is what I think. Your coil looks like it's around 3mm and your wick looks good. That wick can bring a lots of liquid to that coil. I have 2mm coils that I am running between 130-170watt with no spitting. Try to start from the begging and go back to simple coil or parallel at most not bigger then 2mm. Probably closer to 1.8mm ID since you prefer lower wattage. Smaller diameter coil will evaporate liquid at faster rate when you run it at lower wattage. I would probably use 28-26G wire to build coils just to gain that fast ramp up.

try tapering the wick ends by cutting them at an angle rather than straight across. my avocado used to pop and spit but ever since i shaped the wick like this, its been smooth sailing.
after cutting the wick at an angle, trim down the wick shoulders. when finished you'll have thin wick tails just dipping into the tank, and reduced wick shoulders giving it a more streamlined shape.
swirl the tank to re-saturate the wicks.

Thanks so much for all the help guys! I have tried a regular coil, 22g 7 wrap, .2 ohm coil and it wasn't any better. Oh and I'm not running TC. I'll try closing the air flow (I have it wide open atm) and cutting the wicks at an angle.
