Hey Guys,
I am on the lookout for a list of dual battery regulated mods that use parallel configuration. I just about never go about 40 watts, so I have no need for the excess power that series gives. Instead, I'd rather have a mod with great battery life.

Currently, I use a Vapor Flask DNA 40, and love it. I don't really need a new mod, but if and when I feel like getting something, I'd like to know my options. Unfortunately, it seems like the popularity of vaping is moving towards a higher power pissing contest. And it's tough to find parallel mods that are regulated

There are a million and 3 places to purchase mods from, a million + different mods, and everyone has their favorite.
I am happy to help some but can't say I'd be willing to spend hours on it.
Hope this little bit of effort I applied provides at least some assistance.
(I've been wanting to start a list for myself anyways so thanks for providing me a second reason)
Just based on what I see on vapenw, here are my findings;

Thanks. I know it's not all encompassing, since both the dual batt mods I have aren't listed. But it's a great reference. I assume the parallel mods you listed are terribly inefficient at higher wattage since 18650 batteries can't do 100 watts unless the chip boosts the power. But I guess that's just a con to parallel in general. Nothing I'd need to worry about.

I do use RTA's sometimes. And once in a while I drip (mostly just to test new flavors). But I have no real need for a bottom feed mod

Based off math I'd have to agree with you.
However I don't hit 100 so I can't say out of personal experience.
The highest setup I have is the RX200 with TFV4 using the .15 TF-Q4 coil at 85 watts.
After about 8 fills (40ml) it is time to change the batteries.
Unfortunately, that's much less than a full day if it occurs on a weekend.

Yeah, they are the outliers.
I've got the oddball Smowell 65w.
Works fine, but it uses that damn old school "screwed-on" battery cover baseplate.
Same as my single cell SMOK M65.

And yet... at ~40w, it lasts and lasts. Still use it too. Right now in fact.
Alongside the i100TCs and RX and a couple other high power mods.

I think I appreciate how compact they made a multi-cell mod, the Reuleaux too.
Even if it is getting a bit dated on features.

Probably make a handy bludgeon as well. :p

How do you like the i100? I know isticks are marketed more towards beginners in the tc and high power world. But if it's a quality piece, I'd look into it further. Right now I have mods more on the higher end range (ie sx mini, DNA 40, Sig 150tc).

I do like how compact multi battery mods have gotten, but nothing seems like it'll be as comfy as my vapor flask. While the Sig 150tc has the
c-frame, it's a little too squared off on the button side

I've had 3 i30s and an i50 since last spring.
Luckily... all but one i30 is still plugging away. Using the i50 right now actually.

But the i50 debacle was worrisome.
When the i40TC and i100 dropped, in quick succession, they had new buttons (internals too?) and removable batts for the 100. So I took a chance on both. Used the 40 yesterday.

Each was right about $25, so I wouldn't be looking for durability in them.
But the i100 still does just what it says on the tin. :)

Now with two TC100s, the i100 wont see much use anymore.
No regrets though. I'll PIF it sometime down the road.

And now the new PICO single cell shall be mine as well. Muahaha. :p

I had a need for the 50-60w battery life of a dual cell. Modestly priced.
Looked and looked, and nothing was very interesting.
Even the Cuboid does nothing for me.

So I grabbed a couple of TC100s and I'm happy again. :D
JoyeTech/Wismec/Eleaf are just crushing it the past few months.

The Kanger KBOXes are not parallel, check out that video forward to minute 19:30 it shows how batteries are actually wired:

According to this review, the Kanger KBox should earn the worst mod award of 2016

I have a VaperShark Vaper Flask that is parallel. It is only a DNA40, but it is a rock. I really like the convenience. I just don't have to worry about carrying extra batteries.

Just grabbed 2 TC100's and so far loving them.

My main reason for buying was battery life due to the parallel cells and I generally stay under 50W.

So far they are delivering as promised and I'm getting well over a day using a Cleito at 35W with the .4 coil.

My mistake. I stand corrected. I got it for myself by my wife decided she liked it so I couldn't verify on that one. Thank you for correcting me.

The TC portion of it is off and it requires running a bit higher wattage to get similar results from other mods but it works perfect for my wife.
However she is running it at 8 watts using the 1.5 ohm coil in the Cubis.

I have the original 100 and a pair of the tc100's and really like them. Size, weight, and comfortable.
They provide me with all I need for the tanks I run on them.
Other than testing, I haven't regularly run over 75 watts on any of them though.

I'm a little skeptical about the button design on the tc100. That squeeze desing what turned me off from the xcube. I tried one at my local shop, and hated the squishy feel. Is the button clicky on the 100?

It's a quiet clicky.
It's pretty smooth.
I've had mods that were annoyingly loud clicky, this isn't one.
With the button being at the top of the bar, the bottom doesn't move.
Not like the xcube where the entire bar slides/moves.

This is nothing like the x cube it is very clicky and has a solid feel to it, no wobbling around and such, the button is actually one of its best features, considered to be one of the best fire buttons on the market by many, and it is an actual button behind the panel, the panel just clicks it.

And you have to intentionally want to click it and press it firmly to do so, the button behind the panel is loaded with a strong spring that requites a significant force to press it down, i place it unlocked in my jacket's pocket all the time and never had it accidentally fired.

Plus you can lock it with a switch, I never trusted the Xcube to lock while holding it...you can easily disable it without noticing...

I am probably going to pick up the i100tc within the nex few days. But the deciding factor is the charging ability. I know I shouldn't charge most mods with the USB port. The only one I do is with my DNA40 devices because of the zip charging, and the fact that the port isn't used for upgrades. I know that the i100 has upgradeable firmware, but can the port be used as passthrough? I don't always have the ability to bring an entire battery charger when I go out for camping trips, etc... And with the way I vape, I'd have to carry a ton of extra batteries for long outings. So it would be great if I could charge the batteries while in the mod

I just haven't had the need for the pass-through vaping feature, so others will have to go over the pros and cons, and I almost never charge removables in the mod... the pain-in-the-butt to remove sleeve on the IPV D2 makes that an occasional exception. Old-school "screwed on" batt covers are another.

I had it in hand and the in-line meter was right here so, just for you... a twofer. :p

The on-board charger is 1A (0.9A it appears) but that's for both cells... zip-charging this is not.
It works fine for charging while pass-through vaping, and I noticed the current stayed solid at 0.9A. I don't know if that's standard, if some show a drop or even increase to compensate.

Bottom line... both features work fine.
:)

That's good to know. For just about any mod I'd prefer to charge the batteries externally, for safety reasons. And with the easy magnetic doors I wouldn't mind

I just got my i100tc in the mail today. I was skeptical about how I'd like to fire button, but it really is nice and clicky. That's a huge plus. But the first thing I noticed is how cheap the mod, as a whole, feels. Not to say it is a poorly built mod, but it doesn't have that solid feeling that any of my others do. Along with that, The 510 is crap. While all of my tanks sit flush, a disturbing number of them rattle so much that I'm afraid they could break off the 510 connection

Maybe I've been spoiled. My first box mod was an rDNA40, then an VF DNA 40, sxmini, and sig150 tc. All of them are high quality and feel like well made mods. My favorite so far has been the flask, except the fire button is garbage. It was great for the first few months, but quickly became sloppy. Now there is no clickiness left in the button. I will eventually have it serviced, but for such an expensive device that got rave reviews, it's a real disappointment.

So I guess the cheap feel of the i100 comes with the territory of downgrading fro high end mods, but that's the price I'll have to pay for getting a dual battery regulated mod in parallel. And without dropping $300 on the new VF with the sx 350j chip

After using this mod daily for a few weeks, I'm starting to question if it really is in parallel. It has such poor battery efficiency that I can't tell. My sx mini has better battery life with its single 18650 at 35 watts on a .5 ohm kanthal coil. And that isn't saying much, since the yihi chip is known to use too much battery life.
So if I really want a mid that is is parallel and has good battery efficiency, am I just stuck to the DNA boards?
