IJoy sent me one of these things so I can write a review for them. I'm still working my way through several builds before I get to it, but I thought I'd share my first impressions, which are generally positive. I have normally shied away from this type of topper-- it's sorta a Genesis-style, top coil and bottom tank-- because I feared they would leak if tipped over, but mine hasn't so far.
My first build was dual SS316 twists on 3mm for .25Ω. She vaped beautifully in the 40-60 watt range, and would not dry hit out to 100 watts, as far as I took it:
As good as that one was, I ripped it out today for a high watt build; .3x.8 Alien paralleled with 24ga twists, 3 wraps for .2Ω on a 4.25mm drill bit. I had heard some gigs on it about the lack of a single coil adapter, and I wanted to see just how big a single you could fly between the posts. I've been hitting ot at 150 watts all day, no dry hits and some pretty powerful flavor.
I don't have an Avocado to compare it to, but I have heard several people who do say they like it better. If you're in the market for a 4ml RDTA, you could do worse than this one. It's a flavor machine, no matter how high you build it, and it breathes as well as a wide-open Mutation V4 with the air slots full wide. I wasn't expecting to, but I really like it.
