Locking resistance in Wattage mode??

I'm new to vaping and very new to TC/VW vaping. I know it's not the greatest, but I just got an eleaf 60w TC box mod with the Melo2 tank. I know you're not supposed to use the TI or the NI coils in Wattage mode because it could give off toxic particles from oxidization or some such. But, my question here is do I have to lock the resistance (ohms) when using the Wattage mode (when using the appropriate coils).

As a side, why would one need a 100-200W mod when I can barely take mine above 40-45 without it getting super hot real fast? Thanks for all the help!

Wattage mode you don't need to lock resistance and
100-200w mods are made for atomizers that are rated for those levels of wattage (tfv4 is a prime example) i personally have a200 watt mod because I like knowing I'm not pushing the limits or maxing out my mods capability when I vape@ 150 watts or so

No need to lock resistance in power/wattage mode. Make sure you are using suitable wire for power mode (Kanthal A1 or SS, would be my choices). As for needing a 200 watt mod when you're not going over 40 watts, I see no reason why you would.

PS You can also use SS wire for TC (I use SS430 for TC). Very versatile wire!
