Looking at RDAs, couple questions.

First, point me in a direction. I'm looking for velocity style deck with a deep well. I know RDAs are not really pocket carry, but less leaking the better.

I'm open to anything. Never dripped. Velocity V2 looks good if I can find it in Stock at some point. Don't know how crazy air flow control has to be. I TC exclusively with SS. I don't know if I will go bigger or Clapton. Right now just simple coils.

Clones are fine, to get your feet wet with, IF you have no problems with clones.

You could consider a Doge V3 too. Has large post holes for "crazy" builds, if you are so inclined.

If you want to just buy coils, @CrazyChef sells them on his website purecoils.com.

Are you looking for flavor, or cloud chasing?

Both. Seems to me, if I get a ton of vapor, I get flavor. As far as chasing flavor.... No that doesn't really interest me. If I want apple pie I'll eat a piece. :)

I've only got 2, myself. Velocity mini and Sapor. The 2-post criterion would rule out the Sapor for you, but for non-leaking, is awesome, and I do carry it loose in my pocket.
The velocity is nice too, but I haven't found it to give as much flavor with comparable builds (nothing too special. Straight and twisted builds) it's pretty much for at home, having a much quieter airflow.
Definitely more room in the velocity, even in mini form.

Seems to be a nice one.

I think I'm a little more confused on air flow. Tanks are underneath. So with under/side/top flow, I'm not sure what the point that is.

If you're planning on carrying the RDA around, out and about, I do recommend the Sapor RDA, or Aeolus Lite RDA. Both have the airflow at the top, making them leak resistant. Personally, I like the Sapor RDA so much, I ordered a second one.
For home use, the Double Vision RDA, Twisted Messes RDA, or the Mutation X 234 (by Fogwind) are a excellent choice.

Top airflow is critical for a portable mod. I denied it for long enough with my bottom and low-side flows leaking in my pocket. There is a fabulous deal on the VLS Vector at Viper Vape, just get it. :)

Wow I'm silly, I wasn't getting top air flow... Duh.

And "resistant", got it.

So, I pocket carry everything, but obviously not a RDA. That's what I was wondering, do the air flow close and seal leaving the top as the only place to leak? Or, does stuff leak out the side like I figured.

You don't even need to close the airflow. It'll only leak when upside down. In the pocket, it'll be on its side at worst, and won't leak. Side or bottom airflow WILL leak.

I got the Wotofo Ice Cubed because it was a cheap add to an order I was placing. I've got this one and the Blitz Hatty RDA, both are Velocity-style. The Hatty has deeper juice wells but the Ice Cubed can be "overfilled" to a degree since it lacks bottom airflow (it's a top airflow RDA). Both have turned out to be great RDAs. If I had to pick between the two I might go for the Hatty because the bottom/side airflow combo does seem to generate bigger clouds, but the Ice Cubed has been getting a lot of use this week because it's a solid RDA. Gimmicky sure, with the clear glass body, but what the hell it works great. I think I paid around $20 for each so they're definitely great prices for authentics.

The Velocity V2 is a great starting...and ending RDA. It may be all you ever need. Flavor, clouds, airflow control, ease of building, native support for bottom feeding, superior build quality, outstanding warranty support, et al. Offhand, I consider the V2 the RDA which most represents the ideal of the jack-of-all-trades, but the master of none (though the latter may be disputed).

I know it's a RDTA, but I have absolutely fallen in love with my SteamCrave Aromamizer now that I've worked out the kinks and gotten the trifecta of satisfying airflow, great flavor, and consistent wicking. I know they make a RDA variant as well and it doesn't cost a whole lot.

I've had multiple Doges, but never really been in love with any of them. After going through about 10 different droppers, the one I most consistently come back to (when I'm not using the Aromamizer) is my authentic Plume Veil 2.0. Easy build, juice well is deep enough for my use, great conductivity, and a whole mess of airflow options. Worth taking a look into, even if it's not the cheapest boy on the block.

I'll also give a nod to the Kennedy or the Freakshow/Freakshow Mini. They can both be had for pretty cheap and will satisfy your deep juice well requirements. I think the bottom airflow really helps on those two.

Forgot to mention another good top airflow RDA, since RDTA was mentioned. There's a new Hastur V2 RDA. I have two of the first version already. Therefore I ordered the Hastur V2, and the Hastur RDTA, which are currently on it's way.

Top airflow is critical for a portable mod. ...VLS Vector...
If you do not mind the prospect of a spinning center post and leaking from the 510. VLS is literally up the street from me. You can shut down the airflow on a Velocity/Velocity V2. Unless your mod is oriented in such a way that juice flows out of the drip tip, your pockets will stay dry. If you must go with top air, consider the Phenotype L with their new Top Airflow Control Sleeve.
