Looking for a fruit to add to FA Blackberry

I am in the process of trying to create something different than what I have. I want to use blackberry and know it is strong. I was wondering if FA Apricot would go well with FA Blackberry? I have FA Rasperry but don't really like it. I don't have any of the cherries, pom or black currant or kiwi. All my fruits are FA with the exception of dragonfruit which is CAP.

I was going to use blackberry at 0.25%.

I was going to say kiwi, but...

OK, what fruits do you have? Got Rum?

Strawberry! We have a wildberry cream crepe on the menu at work, consists of blackberries, strawberries, and raspberries, and it's pretty awesome. I've thought of combining those three with some vienna cream.....mmmm!!

I do have rum. I could use strawberry. I have FA and cap but I find I like FA best. For the FA raspberry, maybe 0.25%? It isn't very sweet to me.

What about:

Blackberry 0.25%
Strawberry 1.5%
Raspberry 0.25%
Vienna Cream 0.5%
Fresh Cream 1.5%
Cookie 0.5%
Apple Pie 1%
Rum 0.5%

Not sure is strawberry is enough.

Maybe cut the cookie and apple pie for a creamy berry?

Ideas about both combinations?

Both sound good. You might not need the rum in a pie, though. Could, be good.

I was thinking the rum would add a deepness to the flavor like Hic's Five Star Tiramont. I can't taste it in there but I bet his recipe would not be nearly as good without it.

It could, and could help sweeten the Blackberry on it's own. Or, Blackberry Brandy? If you have brandy, that it.

No brandy, which I look at and decide to not buy every time. No anise. This close to getting it last time. Two more to add on my next vg purchase.

My first thought, initially, was blackberry with apricot. Unsure of the apricot amount. Used 1.5% in another recipe and it was barely noticeable to me.

I could always make 5 mls of both versions with bb and apricot and the other with bb and the other fruits.

I usually go about 3% on apricot, use blackberry at .5%, then go up to your liking. Also try it with a little coconut about 1 to 2% if you have it.

So I made this today using, Apricot, Blackberry, Coconut, Vienna Cream, Fresh Cream and Catalan Cream. This is the worst thing I ever vaped. I made 5 mls and put ONE drop of blackberry. ONE DROP. Ridiculous blackberry flavor. I think the catalan cream may have been a bad choice with some of the others.

Along with raspberry, I think I have another FA flavor I will never use. It is definitely blackberry.

I used catalan cream due to another peach recipe on here that uses and is very good, to me. I think I am done with this attempt. I dumped it.

Thanks for everyone's help. I really thought it would work out. Hic did say how strong it is. I think one drop would work in 10 mLs of fluid.

I recently got FE blackberry. I only tasted it from the bottle, but that little taste was delicious! I hope to mix with it soon. I'm so sorry this didn't work out for you. Sounded really good.

I think the only way I could use it as a primary or secondary flavor was to make a 10% dilution with pg or vg and use that. That would give some more flexibility. Of course, if you are going to mix 20 mls or more you wouldn't have an issue and wouldn't have to dilute. I would be hesitant to use this straight, even at the 20 ml or more mixing amount.

I do agree that it tastes like blackberry. Blackberry might not be my favorite flavor in real life which is why I would have to dilute to use it. Another reason I don't know if I could use anise. I can't stand black licorice. My wife, on the other hand, can eat for three meals a day.

I could also have not have had it sweet enough. Ten mls with the addition of meringue and marshmallow to sweeten may have helped.

If you come up with something good using FA blackberry, please share.

I may address this recipe again when I have more time to think about it.

I've never been a big fan of black licorice, but I do love anise. It's a great vape, really. Not as strong as you'd think in relation. It's kind of cool, a little sweet. I recently had a piece of black licorice just to see if my taste buds are still changing. I was rather surprised that I liked it.

Can I just say, yuck. I don't even like the smell.

I don't like black licorice one bit. But, the anise is surprisingly good in HIC's orange tic tac clone recipe (link http://vapingunderground.com/threads/hics-orange-tic-tacs.3930/). In that recipe (like in the tic tac) it's not overwhelming, just a subtle tone in the background. I never thought I'd be ordering anise flavoring until I saw that recipe and realized, "that's what that mystery flavor note in orange tic tacs is!". I'm also one of those people that doesn't like mushrooms, but there's a restaurant in the Denver area (Three Margaritas in Thornton CO) that makes a really good chopped mushroom and jalapeno salsa. (For those in the area, you can get it with your appetizer chips, but you have to ask for it). Anyway, point is, even if it's a flavor you normally don't like, once it's mixed with other stuff you never know until you try it.

Ok, I will get it next time. There is a HIC recipe I can't do because of that and other stuff like cardamon.

Cardamon I can dig. It's an acquired taste, though. Learned from a coworker years ago (who was from India) about using the seed pods as a breath freshener.

They us that in breads in Finland. Pretty good.

What does FE stand for as a flavor maker?

I've run across several flavorings that I purchased for a recipe that are "foods" I don't care for. They make surprisingly good vapes. Coconut, anise, black licorice, to name a few. I don't much care for real coconut, but love it in a vape. Black licorice continues to surprise me. Anise is a great vape, too. I waited a while before buying any of those, bought samples when I did get them and have purchased bigger sizes since. I'll add to that, that since I stopped smoking, my tastes have changed, too. Things I used to love, I can't much tolerate now, things I thought I didn't care for... crazy how that works.

Yes, FE is Flavors Express. Got it from ECX. AND, that mushroom salsa sounds really good!
