So my girlfriend in interested in jumping on the RDA train. She is looking for one that can do both single and dual coils so there is ways the option. I will be making the coils for her in the beginning as I've been doing it for a few months now. Would you guys and gals have any suggestions? She is looking more for flavor and not clouds and doesn't mind the clone idea as long as it is by a reputable maker. She is also looking for one that tends to not hold heat. So I suggested one with heat displacement fins. I have suggested the mutation v3 and the steamboat.

I have the mutation v2 and I love it so figured why not get the new one if she likes that.

Thanks in advance.

I love my Manta v2 RDA: it's a two-post design, very easy to build on, delivers fantastic flavor and good clouds, and it's totally leak-free thanks to its vertical air ducts. The authentic isn't cheap, but Fasttech has clones now.

Or if you really want to blow her away, get a Origen V2. Takes some practice to build and/or knowledge from gennys, but the flavor you get from a mesh setup is just amazingly pure, crisp and miles away from cotton.

Thanks everyone. She actually decided on the steamboat. Once she saw that and she liked it there was no changing her mind.

My personal opinion is that the Freakshow (both mini and regular) are a good way to go. Does both flavor and clouds very well, is an authentic with a good price point, and has been my go-to flavor RDA. The bottom airflow I think is the key, and I can only imagine with the mini on the market now that it only enhances that flavor. hope that helps!

Mine got insanely hot with 22 gauge, but full open airflow with 24 gauge 0.26 ohm build its nothing i cant handle.

Instead of opening another thread I figured I'd just ask here. The steamboat has a 3 post design. I've never built on a 3 post and was wondering how the dual coils work. Does it matter if the wires are touching on the positive post? Don't want to short her new sigelei 50w or worse.

Makes no difference. Both leads get the current coming in from the positive post, and going out from the negative post. Coil in the middle of that offers resistance, hopefully, and because the energy coming from your device cant flow smoothly it is turned into heat, and heat vaporizes your juice. More energy (current) coming in turns to more heat, and that gives you more vapor.

Physics and electrics 101.

Thanks. I figured it would be ok just wanted to double check for the sake of safety. Didn't want any sparking or arching.

I got a Haze RDA recently and was pretty impressed... Positive is a big block with dual holes and the negs are milled... Tried a single coil of twisted 24g and vapes great...
