Looking for Hack's for SMOK Nord 4

I was wondering if anyone had any kind of Hack's or Build mod's for the SMOK Nord 4. I have the Red Leather version and absolutely love it. Basically it's the Pod Mod that got me off of smoking ciggies.

Like I said I was wondering if there were any Hacks for this Pod Mod.

I have seen some firmware downloads for other SMOK Mods and looked up the Nord 4, however I did not see any for my device. I have bought a silicone case for the P-Mod and also the RBA Coil for the RPM Pods. I am still wanting more though.

Like do ya'll think if I purchase the SMOK RPM 160, 510 Magnetic adapter that I can get it to work in the Nord 4 by grinding off some rubber /plastic around the sides and aligning the pins? I could then put on a smol 22mm atomizer,...

Has anyone done anything cool with this mod,... Lemme know,... Thx

This post might come over as being sarcastic, even insulting. That isn't my intention in this post. I read,

This is why my post will suggest you try squonking & getting into coil building. There are plenty of regulated squonkers on the market. I right away go to the Vandy Vape Pulse mod. Have one & not had any issues with it what little used.

Building coils you'll find is pretty straight forward. Suggesting use of coils with a 3 mm inner diameter. That gives you enough to wick at 2.5 mm and not run into any major kinks (pun unavoidable).

A few good single coil RDAs:

• NArDA - There's clones of it available which can work fine. Be sure to bore out the air flow on the top caps. You'll want at least a 1.5 to 2 mm inner diameter hole. If not it'll whistle. Only bore the clones yourself. If you get authentic let a metal shop do it.
• Advken Gorge - Not seen any real clones & at about $25 you'll not do wrong buying authentic.
• Oumier Wasp Nano 22 mm RDA - These are going for $12 or less for authentic. You may think they're only MTL, surprise! They are versatile RDAs. They're kind of a homage to Bomber Tech's Firefly RDAs. I use both.
• Armageddon - Armageddon, or Redemption RDA. These are designed for mainly dual coil use, do well as single coil poppers too.

For coil building to start out, try some Kanthal wire at 26 AWG (gauge). You can move on to SS316L, or Nichrome 80 if you start wanting quicker ramp up, or possibly cleaner taste.

Are you getting the idea that Youtube is your friend, yet? *grin* It is rather helpful to see others demonstrate the how to of coil building. Also use Steam Engine as a guide until you start habitually doing coils in your sleep. Do not fear trying things out within reason.

Learn about battery safety & oHm's Law. Even if you're going to stay with regulated devices it's better having a good idea where to be cautious. And once the joy of regulated devices wears off you might switch to mechanical mods. It may wear off too. Not saying it finitely will, it is possible though.

This is my suggestion/s based upon seeing you are looking for more. Yes, I get liking the pod mods to a degree. They do okay I guess. I've not used them. Then, I came into vaping quite a while back, way before pod mods were ever an itch in my squonk mod's bottle.

I'm not saying give up pods if you do enjoy them. Not seen any hacks for the one you have. Not sure I'd go hacking pod mods either. Hacking those pod mods might void your car, or toaster warranty, have you get dry knuckles, have vaping eat your baby. Well you get the point, and it might be a bit unsafe to boot.

Hope I've not read as too opinionated. Merely sharing my experience & hoping to offer some light for your path.

You gatta understand,... This Nord 4 got me off of 25 years of Shmoaking whereas other like 4 other mods and vuul hadn't,.... I thought I'd give it some respect,.... I also do like these other ones like the SxK and Billet or DotAio,.. & I even found BoXer /Rebel and QP Canada,.../ My God they had a p0-lace go outta buisiness selling ants and kennedies,... I was looking at,... I just want ted to show some love,... Ill prolly end up purchasing a Boxer /qP Jougernaught MR for RDL vaping with New years money. It has the DNA 100C and 21700 battery which should work well for me over the next few months to year to figure out what to do next,.... Graci,.. I I do know Google /Yahoo,.. lol I said Yahoo I meant You Tube to find things out,.. Ill do that now....

I understand fine. I was using cig-a-likes then, vape pen style. It wasn't until a buddy who visited ECF and, here steered me to squonking that I got over 35+ years of smoking tobacco cigarettes.

Those pen & tank style things just couldn't "do it for me". Also found regulated devices ended up as bricks in my hands. So mechanical squonk mods with RDAs for me it is. Again that might be a bit bias, do apologize for that.

Still don.t know what you are looking for or what is lacking from your present rigs. Wotofo makes a kit for a reuildable rpm coil. I started w/ blu e-cigs which got me off a 45+ year habit... experimenting has sustained me over the last 7 years.

I love the Nord 4. I just ordered one. I have other mods but I wanted a pocket pod like my Novo4 for when riding my bicycle...but wanted something rebuildable. I bought the RPM rba also. And Wotofo makes a rebuildable coil for it that I don't have yet.

You might have the Wotofo one without realizing it. A lot of these various companies all sell the same product, merely differently branded. So, the RPM could be a Wotofo RBA in disguise.

Not seeing too much difference. Wotofo gives you a nice dexterity tool to hold onto the coil build deck. Though it might be the pod its in, not sure. Wotofo's has raised posts. Golly, it's whole "different" product. The W deck is also lowered giving the appearance of the posts being raised.

Looks to be the same basic deck. Smok just went with the natural low profile instead of wasting material. I didn't really expect to see much difference. Back in 2017 some yahoo's were complaining, saying there was no originality for vaping.

Originality lacks in far more than vaping. Marketing for example isn't very original. Here's people trying to sell the same basic product under two names. I got white horse and blanco horse, which you wanna buy?

I have not looked at all of Wotofo's kits, but I know for some they make a mesh rebuildable into that little coil. They make them for Nord-coil style of Nord pods too....but I don't know if Wotofo makes a mesh coil kit for the RPM pods. They do make rebuild kits for the .6 triple RPM coil that looks interesting.
