Looking to build box mod need help

I am in the process of designing a box mod. I want a dual 18650 unregulated, no mosfet or fuses, just barebones mod. I just made this wiring diagram and was wondering if it would work, I've looked at so many wiring diagrams and they have too much crap in em so i made my own.

Are you using a magical firing switch?...If not i suggest drawing a Mosfet somewhere in there...There is no re- design of the simple mechanical box...wiring will end up the same no matter how its drawn on microsoft paint.

You gonna use 30g wire for this build?
Does your battery sled use springs for the negative side contacts?
Are you gonna use a 510 out of an ego battery?

What are you gonna do when the firing switch gets hot and shorts causing the battery to get hot and possibly vent or explode?...Maybe you should add a crappy mosfet to save your hands and face?

A fuse is there to protect you as well..what if you screw up a build in your atty or tank and there is a short...(most buy an ohms checker to check that but some dont hence the added safety measure.)....Maybe a wire comes loose and tries to short out somewhere...Maybe the firing switch or the 510 shorts out.

Alot of what you call "crap" is used for reasons of safety more than anything.

At minimum consider a mosfet..(not my drawing or design but one you should consider.

So i take it that is a bad wiring plan, and i will need a mosfet. and yes i am aware of that. I've seen box mods that didn't have any of that. The biggest deal to me is that i want it to be simple

Simple is fine but this is associated with more risk involved.

The mosfet is to take power from the switch as the are only rated at 3 amps and you push far more than that through one without a mosfet..Adding a mosfet is recommended.

A switch can short out two different ways...One being where you just dont get power through it (if youre lucky) and second where it shorts to the other side which is essentially the same as a dead short to the battery like hooking up a wire on both ends of a battery and touching them together...That you certainly dont want to do.

Your design would be fine with a heavy duty, truly mechanical switch. Most standard electronics switches wouldn't cut it.

Mike H. Is not trying to be a dick we all just want everyone to be safe and not end up on the news and getting the law to shut down vaping we all want to be safe and just have fun vaping that's all so get a mosfet and use it.

Can anyone recommend a quality magnetic mechanical switch capable of supporting a parallel 26650 build? I haven't had much success with finding solid ratings for anything yet..

With a proper switch it's no different than a tube mech. Actually it would be safer since the parallel batteries would split the amp load.

DISCLAIMER: I do not endorse the course of action described below.

What you'll end up doing in that case is cannibalizing a button from a tube mech mod to do that though. It is possible, and in that case it wouldn't even need wiring really. You could do it with copper sheets if you really wanted simple. It would be a mech tube in a wooden box in that case. Just make sure to drill vent holes. You could do it if you really wanted to.

DISCLAIMER: DO NOT DO THIS COOL SOUNDING THING.

I might survive jumping off a 100ft cliff as its happened before with some but id rather not test the theory.

USE A MOSFET!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fuses are good to...just sayin.
