I currently am using a Plume Veil which I love but I hate having to redrip because I chain vape and am one of those who burn the cotton easily sometimes trying to get that last hit out before having to redrip. That said I'm not a huge fan of the Kayfun as it doesn't give a good rip, I like a lot of vapor and it doesn't like sub ohm builds that much. I've being looking at atomizers such as the Zenith Double Cross where it's a dripping atomizer but with a tank as well, this appears to be the best of both worlds in concept but how well does it work in a real world application? I've heard the Orchid v4 hits very hard too but is it the same as the Kayfun? I like to sub ohm certain brands that like a lot of heat. I'm using a Nemesis at the moment but also looking at a few box mods but if appropriate I will start a thread about that as well, but my main question here is what is the best atomizer for my application?

take a look at the big dripper.. I haven't personally tried it but it has a tank system build on top of the dripper and you push a button to let more juice into the dripper.

I would suggest you wait & check out the upcoming Kayfun V4. Its supposed to be released this year, so it can't be far away. Its a completely new design & based on the teaser pics recently released I have a feeling its going to be a GOOD ONE! All the negatives you listed about the Kayfun are most likely addressed & fixed with the V4, at least I'm very hopeful anyway. I just started a thread about it, check out the pics & post your thoughts:
(--->KAYFUN V4! Anxiously Awating!<---)

I have been dripping for 9 months and recently got a orchid v1 and I love this thing. Super airy draw so you can lung hit. Wicking is tricky but once you get it right its amazing. Big clouds awesome flavor. I've built mine to 0.16 dual and it bangs.

I hate to be that guy but if if you like dripping flavor but hate having to drip then you want to look at the Reo and a bottom fed Atty. Dripping without the hassle, fresh sqouze juice on demand.

my orchid has been most like any dripper I have used. as a matter of fact it is getting too hot for my liking. I'm currently using it at .3ohms I'm going to rebuild it to about .5 or .6 ohms. for now it's benched for my moded Kayfuns which I'm loving at the moment.

You could look into the Kayfun built by 528customvapes

They modify the Kayfun with a deeper juice well, bigger airflow, and it can take a 0.5 build.

I have a mill here at work I can use to deepen the juice wells on my kayfun but I don't ever get any dry hits so I don't think I need to modify it. but I'm also only @ .5ohms. I don't think I need to go any lower than that I have an orchid for that duty.

Dripping is the way to go, unfortunately YOU HAVE TO DRIP...
the big dripper is a BIG joke... Just get the mutation x or XL for deeper well, you can probably get at least 5 long drags with it...
Try vaping on higher nicotine juice that will minimize ur vaping and dripping...

No you don't have to drip, you can sqounk instead. That's why I love bottom feeders. Dripping without the hassle, and one handed at that. Sqounking and driving is no problem.

that would require a whole new setup. I think the OP wants an atty that gives the same performance as a dripper.

You idea is good but just needs to buy too much unless the OP doesn't mind buying a reo and reomizer.

I am going to chime in with whiplash and also suggest a REO. Dripping without dripping. The REO Grand has a bottle that holds 6 ml of juice. I have three and they get most of the love amongst my mods.
That being said, if you don't want to go that route, the Orchid v4 is a great choice. Once you get the wicking down pat, it's as good as I have tried as far as tanks go. And I have tried many. ;)

Who doesn't want a REO lol, if you have the money to spend knock yourself out , i'm sure you will be very pleased .

It seems the Orchid models are the current overwhelming favorite of most folks for dripper like taste and juice capacity , have not seen a single bad review and any criticism i have seen in the past is from people who are unfamiliar with it .

I want a reo lol. Just don't wanna spend the $$. I have 2 orchid v1's and 1 v4. These little tanks are amazing. Only complaint is getting the wicking just right or it floods. I finally got it right and it wicks pure vg just fine
