Louie: "Cop Story" Review

Once again, the pre-credits scene on Louie was a true highlight of the episode. And it shared a similar theme with the main story which was Louie getting rightfully upset with someone regarding their behavior - and then slowly backing away from his stance while that person offered their weak counter-argument. Proof that Louie's a pushover even when he's in the right.

Michael Rapaport guested this week as Lenny - a guy who used to date Louie's sister. A bi-polar disaster of a police patrolman who, when he sees Louie for the first time in a long while, latches onto him for dear life. Unable to make friends at work, or elsewhere, Lenny is oblivious to his own loud obnoxious, bullying behavior. Rapaport was great at being overbearing-to-the-point-of-madness (certainly a better antagonist here than he played in Season 5 of Justified), though -- and this may have been the point -- he was exhausting. And I supposed he'd have to be if things were to get so bad that Louie would actually dare to speak up. Because Louie's not sticking his neck out for normal annoyances.
