Low Nicotine, Scary!

I was reading about JabsP8 dumping about 125ml of year old WL nicotine. I checked my WL order history to find my WL nicotine is about a year old too. I took a whiff. OMG!! I have been vaping THAT?!!!
The smell lingered to a point I had to dump it.
I never had a clue until taking that whiff. I still don't taste it in my current mixes that I made with it at 3mg.

The scary part was all I had to make new flavors was a half full 10ml sample bottle of Vapers Tek nicotine with a 15ml sample of Nude Nicotine somewhere in vape mail.
I don't have enough nic should I go on a wild mixing marathon and fill all my empty bottles with new and exciting flavors, in which maybe 1 or 2 might be good enough to share with my fellow vapers on VU and feel the love of making something good enough others like it too!! Panic! OMG!! BCV is out of all of their VT middle sizes except the 24mg. I'm doomed (even though I have several bottles of e-liquid already made), until late into the day when Drew informed me by email that the VT nic I wanted was beck in stock. Whew!

So now I am sitting here just like yesterday, but feeling fine. I now have less then a half a sample bottle of VT left, but it's ok. That Nude Nic is still somewhere in vape mail land and I have a 120ml of VT coming in a couple of days, maybe not until Monday.
I hadn't felt that way since that one scary week over a year ago. I didn't have all my DIY stuff I ordered and I was nearly out of online bought e-liquid. I had to go to a B&M to buy some overpriced e-liquid.

I will be in happy land when the new nic gets here with all the new flavors I bought after going a couple months without buy any new flavors.

If you can't tell smell or taste it when you mix it down to 3mg, why dump it?

I freaked out about the smell. I only had about 10 ml left, so I did have to buy some more soon.
Where are you storing your nic?
I keep my nic near my smaller containers of PG/VG in a darker area of my PC desk. I now have a 60ml amber glass bottle to pour half of the 120 ml plastic bottle into and will be kept in an out-of-the-way-safe-place while I use the other half from the plastic bottle.

Since cutting my nic level way down from when I bought the 100mg 120ml WL nic I went with 48mg 120ml VT nic. Vaping at 3mg is too low, too soon.I will be back to around 5mg.

I have some 1000mg liquid that is well over a year old stored in a very cold fridge that I have aside just for liquid. It has darkened considerably, but has tested out perfectly for nicotine content. No off flavors, etc.

Didn't realize you only dumped 10ml. In the future, you may want to keep it away from the pc. The temperature can get pretty warm.

The PC is on the floor under the desk. I have a pile of those "lipstick" holders filled with flavors stacked and the smaller bottles of base and nic in front, but away from any sunlight.
I would have found a way to make the nic to work if I had 120ml that smelled that bad..

I'm a bit late to this thread and haven't commented in the others I've seen but these types of posts make me think WL must be using some bad pg and/or vg. I don't think the nic on it's own should get a bad smell. All nic can do is oxidize. I've never heard of anyone saying their oxidized nic smelled bad.

Just thinking and sharing the thought.
