Scammers have figured out how to fake the Destiny promotional codes in Red Bull, potentially taking them away from legitimate buyers.
Kotaku reports that it didn't take long for the Internet to crack their code of particular numbers and letters in a certain pattern, unlocking the content. However, these codes are likely printed on existing Red Bull cans being used for the promotion, so exploiting the system this way may well be taking the code away from someone else.
Users have already complained of getting their codes legitimately and then seeing errors, indicating that someone else may have already cheated their way into it. The promotional codes are supposed to unlock a bonus XP consumable and a bonus quest, in preparation for the release of The Taken King expansion.
