Vayntrub was initially cast to play Squirrel Girl (aka Doreen Green) in live-action for Freeform's New Warriors, but the show is now being shopped to other outlets because there wasn't room on Freeform's schedule this season. Thankfully, the plucky heroine and her loyal squirrel sidekick Tippy Toe are a major part of Marvel Rising, which is described as a "multiplatform animated franchise with a focus on inclusivity, empowerment and relatability for a tween audience."
