Mass Confusion!!!

Thanks for taking a moment to read this :) I'm new to vaping, and have read multiple forums, descriptions, etc. I'm a bit confused though:
I use a Krangertech 70W with a Crown 2 tank. I am using a 0.25 ohm coil, which Crown recommends using 60-100W with. However, many of the Kangertech forums I read suggest using 17.5-30W?!?! This is outside the parameters found on the charts i have come across. Is there some reason to use such a low wattage? Or maybe Crown tanks shouldn't be used with kangertech mods?

I don't own a Crown but everyone I know that has one is vaping at 50 watts or more with the coil you're using. I would say at the low wattage you mentioned was for a Kanger tank and you would just make the Crown flood at those wattages. I always recommend starting at the low end of the recommended range for the coil and work your way up power wise until you find your sweet spot where the vape is the most satisfying to you.

I would say the guys on the Kangertech fora are using other coils for your Crown 2. There isn't an exact coil to use for the Crown 2, you just need to look for a coil that fits your needs. I would check the range of the coil, ON THE COIL ITSELF rather than searching the fora for an answer. What you can do to double check is search your coil name on Google and see what comes out of the box, normally it should bring you to an exact site with some details http://www.eleafworld.com/ecl-0-18ohm-head/ like so. This is 100% sure 'cause the owners of Eleaf recommend it themselves.

Hope this helps you!

JosCiv , Whats an Eleaf coil link have to do with the crown?
It's just an example, nothing really with the crown II but as you can see the information is right next to the coil. As I was saying, he needs to check his coil on the official website

I found this myself, but I don't know which coil you use... https://www.myvaporstore.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=UWC50
  • SUS316L Parallel Coil 0.25ohm - Recommended Wattage: 60-100W
  • SUS316L Parallel Coil 0.5ohm - Recommended Wattage: 50 - 80W
  • Kanthal Parallel Coil 0.8ohm - Recommended Wattage: 35 - 55W

In Brief, go with the ratings on the coil.

The mod merely heats up the coil. From there, adjust to your personal preference. You can go outside the recommended zone. Just do incremental changes (less than 5 W at a time) until you find your sweet spot.

Constantly Running the kanger at 70 Watts will merely drain the battery faster.

Sent from somewhere in Vietnam.

Those 'charts' are just a suggestion.
Ive never used a crown, but I would start around 40w and then adjust from there until you are happy
Forget what anyone says on any forum and just worry about finding a satisfying vape experience.

A 0.25 coil needs 3.6volts to fire fully so you should be vaping somewhere between 40 and 60 watts. You will know the max wattage when you reach it...the juice will taste a lil burnt. Then you back it down. ;)

The recommendations are given as a guideline. You don't need to actually vape it at the wattage its says. Usually you start at 30w and go up in need be until you find your sweet spot.

I've owned several Kangertech mods, from 50w on up to the KBox 200 I have now & used Crown tanks on all of them.
Not the Crown 2, but the regular, original. I use Uwell's .25 coils & get my best results at about 60 watts. While the mods are certainly capable of high watts you'll find their coils like to live below 80.
