Mechanical Button getting hot

Hello I'm new here but have been vaping for 2 years. I have two authentic tube mods a simple and a stingray.
when I'm at a cloud comp after a couple of hits the firing buttons get really hot. I check the battery but they are fine. My local vape shop tells me it shorting but as some of my clones that shock me. the simple and stingray do not shock me they just get really warm. Can someone explain why it is happening.

You been VAPING for 2 years and you still don't know why your firing button gets hot?
UR BUILTS ARE TOO LOW
REPLACE UR FIRING SPRINGS
CLEAN THE FIRE BUTTON

Wear some gloves..
Good luck

What rda are you using? Are you 100% sure the center pin not only extends past the threads by 1mm or so, but also that it cannot be pressed back in under force?

Chances are that your center pin either doesn't extend far enough, or is getting squished down when you tighten the battery cap, thus causing a short.

Had this happen to my smpl with a veritas on it. Pin extended plenty, and didnt seem to have any give when I pushed on it, but was becoming depressed when I tightened up the battery cap. Started out as an intermittent hot button and ended with me venting 2 vtc5's in one day before I realized why it was actually happening.

As time progressed I put down the mechs in favor of multiple cell tc mods and have never been happier with vaping. Ymmv.

Mech buttons that use magnets instead of a spring are a common cause of hot button issues. If a proper cleaning and proper adjusting doesn't help....
