I just got a MELO 2. Great sale from the B&M... I have a Istick 30, and have questions about the red and blue banded coils that came with it. I bought a .5 coil because I wasn't sure if I could use the .3 that came with it. This tank has sooooo much more than the ego one mage I was using!! Can I use the banded coils? Flavor is amazing... any help... I plan to upgrade the mod as soon as I can afford... The $20 tank is all I could so far. Thanks...

The red is not kanthal it is titanium and is intended for use with a temperature control mod with a titanium mode. Your istick can't use either. Until you upgrade your mod the standard .5 ohm coil is what you want. It has clear o-rings and is kanthal and operates well at your 30 watt device limit.

The .5 operates great... the first time I had to turn down the air flow..

Probably not. The only way I have seen them sold is with the temperature control coils one being ni200 and the other ti. The istick 30w has a minimum resistance of .4 ohms so I would stick with the .5 ohm eleaf ec coil unless you upgrade your mod. Several other brands of coils fit and work in the Melo 2 but none offer any benefit at all with your current mod and most cost more than eleaf coils.
