WB's Minecraft movie adaptation is no longer on track for its planned release date.
The Wrap reports Rob McElhenney, who was set to direct the film from a script he co-wrote with Jason Fuchs (Wonder Woman), has dropped out of the project, and Minecraft: The Movie is no longer on track to hit its original May 24, 2019 release date.
Aaron and Adam Nee (Band of Robbers) will write the new screenplay. However, no word yet on who'll be taking over as director. Roy Lee (The Lego Movie) and Jill Messick are producing.
