Mixing at 18 mg

Hello all I have been mixing for a while now, now a friend wants me to mix juice for him. I have never mixed juice higher than 6 mg. He is currently a smoker and is trying to make the transition. Is it necessary to adjust the percentages of flavoring to compensate for the added nicotine?

Yes, my wife still vapes 18mg. You'll have to add more flavoring. It can be tricky. Nic mutes flavoring. I usually mix hers 8 to 10%. Really depends on what flavorings I'm using too.

I primarily mix at 18 mg and to me it depends on which nicotine you are using.

If your 18 mg nic./VG/PG mix is tasteless; then a little compensation. If that mix provides harsh chemical or other nasty sensations; no additional amounts of flavoring might help.

A bunch may depend on exactly what you are trying to duplicate from lower nic. levels

I did notice that my recipes for 18mg were over powering at 9, so I went down in %, then down again when I hit 6 then 3 mg/ml.

You are correct, you will have to bump up the flavoring, mostly because the smoker going to vaping has very muted tastedbuds.

Hmm I must be the odd one out

Don't feel bad, my ADV is still more than 25% flavoring... though it has come down just a little from its high point at 31%, as I've dropped from 9-10mg to now around 3.5mg.
