Mixing order

As a new DIY'er, I am curious to know how/what to mix first. I have seen it done different ways. Any suggestions?

There's no real order perse. But I mixed the flavorings first then pg,Nic and the vg last when I was learning .
I did it that way because the vg is heaviest which means it will pull to the bottom with everything else pulling through it.
I know its lame logic, since everything gets mixed together, but it makes me feel better.

I premix a nic base. I make around 300ml of unflavored - pg/vg/nic. I use a scale, for measuring by weight, but even when I was using syringes, I'd measure my flavors, add the unflavored base, shake then vape (unless it needed some time to meld). It will reduce the final strength, but not by enough that I notice. This way, if I want to make a sample size of something, I can just draw 5-10 ml at a time from the container, or draw the amount necessary for a larger mix.

Mix however you're most comfortable.

I add the nic last for 2 reasons...

1) In case I want to taste what I made to make sure it's what I thought it would be.
2) In case I get clumsy and spill the open bottle at some point while reaching for something on my mixing mat... it happens.

I usually make a 100mls at any given time. I scale then mix my VG/PG in a magnetic mixer for a few minutes then dunk the beaker into hot water to loosen up the VG some and warming up the base to help incorporate the flavor better. Scale in my flavors from the most to the least then back onto the mixer for a couple hours, not at a fast speed but fast enough to move the liquid around without excessively adding air. Steep for a week or two or longer depending on the mix, taste and then add the nic, mix slowly for a hour then steep again for a week before enjoying the vape.
