Mod/tank question

I'm new to this so forgive me if I butcher anything. I recently purchased an itaste mvp 3.0 pro and a FreeMax Starre tank. I'm currently running a .5ohm atomizer at 35watts. My tank sometimes spits. Is that due to my atomizer being soaked? If so, what's a quick fix? And my atomizer runs between .52-.53 and is sometimes pretty loose when I go to refill. Is this normal? Should I switch to a .25?
So I guess what I'm asking is what settings on this set up will get me the best flavor profile and smoothest hit? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

If you are looking for taste the easiest thing to do is start out low and keep slowly bumping it up. Every juice seems to have a range where the taste is cleaner and clearer. A lot of tanks will spit after they have been sitting for awhile, as the wick is really saturated. I don't have a FreeMax Starre tank so can say anything specific to that tank. Hope this helps.

Moving this to tanks/clearos...

Keep your coil screwed into your tank nice and snug - you don't need to crank it down too hard, but make sure it's in there good enough to not loosen up. Some of my tanks tend to give me a little spitback on startup, so I'm figuring it's just part of dealing with tanks - not nearly as bad as what we put up with in the bad old days, though.
